The main audience profiles that will watch movies or series on Syfy are 18-29 year old males
according to my research.However it's not just narrowed down to one specific group anyone
can watch anything on Syfy it's just studies show that 18-29 year olds that are male will
watch lots of these shows.On sky it tells us that out of the 6 million average viewers 58.21%
are male and 41.79% are female that watch syfy on average.

The logos that Syfy use are very simple but effective and bold that grab the audience's
attention to come watch series and movies on there channel.The main logo that they use is

What colours do your channels use?
The syfy channel uses a range of colours for their website to stand out.The 2 main colours
that the syfy channel use is black and yellow as the logo is just black and yellow.It is a more
simple design but looks effective.
What media do they broadcast?
Syfy has a media channel for media news for lik movie sad series that have latest news
about that movie and series like when new episodes are being released and when a movie
comes out.They call it Syfy Wire.They broadcast on Sky as well.

Syfy have many subgenres that they will broadcast.For example they broadcast science
fiction, horror, and fantasy genres.More confined genres would be Science fiction and sci-fi
family for example.Some series that they broadcast will be things like dutrateram which is
like the simpsons and then movie wise they have movies like ant man for marvel and comic
lovers and then sci-fi movies like apollo 8 and so on.

For the horror channel the main audience is more male than female out of the 6 million
average viewers of the channel.62% of the viewers are male 38% are female.The main
target age for horrors is 15-25 as that young adults and teenagers enjoy thrills.

Like the Syfy logo the horror channel has a very simple logo but is bold and can grab an
audience as it has an attractive colour of red.which is a stereotype for blood and danger
just like horrors.The main logo is below.

The channel uses bright colours to attract the audience.They use mainly 2 colors that
are usually related to horrors which is red and white.The channel uses a scary theme to
try get the audible in the mood for the horror.

They broadcast on virgin media and sky.They broadcast on Virgin channel 149 from
8am to 4:30 am.Also they broadcast on Freesat channel 138 from 8am to
4:30am.You will be able to access this channel on many devies for example tv and
tablet.
What genres and subgenres do they broadcast?

The horror channel mainly broadcasts horror genres and thrillers however they have
other genres to choose from.But an audience will most likely go for horrors if the go for
this channel.Some examples of sub genres they have are Paranormal Horror,Non-
Supernatural Horror and gothic horror plus many more.
