STORY
The brothers, both born on November 12th,
attended St Xavier’s School, Jaipur, before
joining IIT Delhi. They both had job stints in
Texas, US—Amit in Austin and Anurag in
Dallas— and worked in Bangalore in different
companies. They returned home in 2006 after
their father was detected with cancer. It was
then that they thought of setting up a
business in their hometown and turned serial
entrepreneurs soon after .

manufacturers (Mainly TATA) for further sales interaction
and pitching .
It also earns by earn from lead generation for new and
used cars
CarDekho has their own e-store for automobile

accessories as stickers, floor mats, scratch removers,


polish, mobile chargers, shampoo, navigator, seat
covers, tyres , alloy wheels, car stereos, car perfumes,
sun films, etc.
Now a days many companies are giving them

advertisement on their website.


The company adopted several marketing technique
since it is inception to promotes its business and
promote sales and aware among the customers.
Digital promotion has been on a large scale for
increasing its reachability across the globe and to
higher the engagement over the website.
Car Dekho acquired Gaadi.com to increase their customer
base and offer more refined option to its customer.
Gaddi.com got acquired in late September 2014 for around $11
million
The company is spending a lot on brand promotion
through tv ads and print media advertisement. A
regular advertisement promoting the brand can be seen on
television and print media now a day.
Mobile Marketing : Mobile friendly site was

launched keeping in view the excessive growth of


mobile and handheld devices in India . Other than
the mobile optimized website, company also
launched its mobile app which runs on several
platforms like android, iOS and windows.
Social media advertising : Using social media

integration in their business promoted its site well


among right audience and helped in gaining on name
and fame. Cardekho effectively used Facebook and
Twitter marketing.
Email marketing : In order to increase its members

and make them visit again and again, CarDekho has


adopted a decent email marketing strategy in which
they used to send company’s promotional emails
every day to each of their registered members.
