PROBLEMS
1. Difficulty of proving supernatural existence – to prove conclusively that a supernatural world exists
and that morality exists there as well as in the natural world.

2. Nonreligious people can be moral –many human beings do not accept the existence of a supernatural
world and yet act morally as anyone who does, then there must be some attributes other than religious
belief that are necessary for one to be moral.

3. Difficulty of providing a rational foundation- taking religion as a logical foundation for morality is weak
for there is no conclusive evidence that would prove the existence of supernatural world, an afterlife, a
god, or gods.

4. Which religion are we to accept as the true or real foundation of morality?

CONCLUSION

“Is ethics just about following rules of do’s and

don'ts? This neglects the more important aspect of
being a human person and that is becoming what
you should be. The most important question is not
“What should I do?” but “What kind of person
should I be?”
