Intro
What is selfcare?

Selfcare is the care of oneself. It involves taking care of your mental, physical, spiritual, social
and emotional wellbeing. It is important because if we don’t take care of ourselves, it effects
our everyday lives.
Kinds of selfcare
Physical Well-Being

Physical wellbeing consists of your body, immune system, etc. To keep it in good shape, you
need to protect yourself from the sun, exercise, keep your immune system functional, do
regular physical activity and avoiding injury. It can be hared by disease, not exercising
enough, not eating the right foods, getting hurt etc.
Emotional well-being

Emotional wellbeing is your feelings and emotions. It is harmed if you get stressed, sad or
emotionally harmed. You can take care of it by doing things you enjoy, maintain good
relationships, and being emotionally gratified.
Social wellbeing

Social wellbeing are your friends and such. It is harmed if a good relationship turns sour or
ends, or if somebody betrays you trust. It can be taken care of be maintaining good
relationships, being part of a friend group or participating in activities you friends or loved
ones.
Cognitive wellbeing

Cognitive health is our intellectual activity and thinking. It is improved by playing puzzle
games, doing cognitively challenging tasks, and thinking and reading actively.
Spiritual wellbeing

Spiritual wellbeing is being at peace with yourself. It can be looked after through meditation,
going to a holy place if you’re religious and such.
Relationships
Positive relationships

Positive relationships are relationships that make you feel loved or gratified, and accept you
as a person. Positive relationships are easy to spot because they make you feel comfortable
and happy. Positive relationships help with you cognitive and emotional health.
Negative relationships

Negative relationships are manipulative, condescending and generally bad. The make you feel
uncomfortable and sad. In negative relationships you may be pressured into doing something
you don’t want to do, or bullied. They are bad for your cognitive and emotional health.
