Converting decimals into fractions
Steps to convert a fraction into a decimal number:
1. Count the number of digits after decimal points.
2. Write the number as numerator omitting the decimal point.
3. Write in the denominator, as many zero or zeros to the right of 1 as there are number of
digit or digits after the decimal point.

Example 8 Convert 7.325 into fraction.

Solution:
Number of digits after the decimal point is three.
Therefore, denominator = 1000
7325
Thus,7.325 
1000

Example 9 Example 11 Express 108 m in km.
Express 565 paise in rupees and paise.
Solution:
Solution:
1000 m = 1 km
100 paise = 1 rupee (`) 108
108 m =  0.108km
565 paise = 565 100 = ` 5.65 100
= ` 5 and 65 paise.
Example 10 Express 5 cm in m. Example 12 Express 1045 ml in l.

Solution: Solution:
100 cm = 1 m 1000 ml = 1 l
5 1045
