Remember!
When adding more than 2
numbers, only 2 addends can
be added at a time. The
parenthesis ( ) shows which
addends should be added
first. This is called Associative
Property of Addition.

Associative Property of Addition
It states that changing the
grouping of the addends does
not change the sum.
Example: (1 + 2) + 3=6
