 HISTORY OF SCHOOL
 DPS Sangrur was established in 2013 on Nankiana Road , Near
Village Bhalwan, Sangrur having a mission to give the children an
institution of learning comparable to the best in the world.
 DPS Sangrur is run by educational society which is inspired by the
P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization), one of the pioneer
societies, founded on January 21, 1869, by seven students at Iowa
Wesleyan college in mount pleasant, Iowa.

 The society has teamed up Delhi Public Society, New Delhi in
providing education from Nursery to Class XII.
 Presently DPS family having a global network over 200 English
medium, co-educational, secular schools, it is a network of
values, systems and relationships.

 DPS Sangrur have smart classroom technology, enabling
teaching at the highest standards.
 All classrooms are equipped with multiple display monitors
and big screens, which are digitally connected to the
knowledge centre.

FULLY LOADED LIBRARY

 Delhi Public School, Sangrur is furnished with a
computerized Library system.
 The fiction and nonfiction section has a rich collection of
classics and the latest books by the best writers.
 More than 4315 Books on different subjects, 5 Newspapers,
25 Magazines imbricate the shelves of our library.

MUSIC & DANCE ROOM
Students are taught folk, light and classical music along with instruments such as
piano, sitar, harmonium, bongo etc. by a team of dedicated and talented teachers.
The fundamentals of various dance forms are also taught to students who have a
passion for dancing by Indian & Western dance teachers.
ART & CRAFT STUDIO
School have a spacious art and craft work station where the children are
encouraged to create their own colourful interpretations of what they see around
them.
Under the able guidance of the art and craft teacher, the children undertake many
fun-filled projects involving cutting, pasting, drawing and colouring which are
displayed in specially designed display windows for appreciation and
encouragement.

OPEN AIR THEATRE (OAT)

DPS Sangrur is having a beautiful Open air theatre.

It is used for outdoor quizzes, club meetings etc.

It is also used for everything from rock shows to book
fairs and is also the official spot for taking the group
photographs etc.

The teaching is geared towards preparing the students

The school will be growing each year and as such we
will add one class every year to reach the level of class

 CURRICULUM ACTIVITIES
• School encourages students to participate in activities like
debating , public speaking, painting , singing , dancing etc for the
overall upliftment of the students. These competitions are
regularly held.

 In order to promote sports, games and co-curricular activities in an
atmosphere of fine sportsmanship as well as excellent competitive spirit,
the students of DPS SANGRUR are divided into 4 houses. Each House
have HOUSE Master and team of teachers under whose guidance
students participate in various competitions.
 Different inter-house competitions are held all through the year and all the
competitions climax to the annual sports meet.
 Every HOUSE have House Captain and Prefects selected from the

 TRANSPORTATION
 The bus route covers all areas. The GPS (global positioning system)
technology has been installed in school buses to facilitate control of the
movement of buses and to know their location at a particular time.
 It is mandatory for everyone to use school transport.

 DPS SANGRUR have approximate 30 buses Covering all the routes like
Dirba, Sunam, Dhuri, Amargarh, Longowal , Sangrur and others.
