INTRODUCTION :
Education certainly determines the quality of an individual’s life. Education improves one’s
knowledge, skills and develops the personality and attitude. Knowledge is the greatest
power of all the time. And power brings responsibilities. Both these power and thought of
responsibilities can be gained by proper education, which leads the creation of a perfect
human being, a perfect community, a perfect Nation. We can learn something by different
methods like: Systematic, organised and plan time bounded methods like in some
institutions, colleges, schools etc. Or in a non – systematic methods like from family, nature,
life experiences. Education is a life-long process, which cause gradual changes in a human’s
life, behaviour, ability to achieve the ultimate goal
SEAT OF LEARNING: seat of leaning means a place or environment from where we can
acquire knowledge. It is the place where we receive the basic skill of adjustment. It can be
any institutions or organisations. It can any school, college and other educational
institutions.

WE HAVE TAKEN SCHOOL AS A SEAT OF LEARNING.

1. ESTABLISHMENT AND LOCATION

Govt. High School, CRP, Baramunda is a school in the state board of Odisha. The school was
established in 1989. This school is popularly known as Rental High School, which is situated
in Rental colony, Baramunda, Bhubaneswar, Khordha. It’s a Govt., Odia medium,
Coeducational school.

2. PHILOSOPHY OF SCHOOL
Rental High School, is a government educational institution providing quality education in
the last 33 years. This comes under the Department of Education and Mass Education, Govt.
Of Odisha.
- The main motive of the school is to educate the nearby students for their brighter future. -
It is the message from the Principal of Rental High School
- ‘Smart work is very nice, but hard work and deep determination for work is more
important. A determined hard work would surely surpass smart work.’
- In her point of view, one should sure know about his / her inner art and desire. Then only
he / she will be determined for the work.
- And the school provides a favourable atmosphere to the children to develop their passion
and ignite their young mind.
- This atmosphere is highly conducive to learning and opens up new opportunities. -
Children with a healthy mind can achieve heights of success in life, and the school assures
this.
- This type of atmosphere provides a good competition as well as empower their self –
confidence.
- This school occupies a place of pride because of the students have made a mark for
themselves in the outside world.

3. CURRENT STATUS OF SCHOOL

- Rental High School is running and approved by the Govt. of Odisha. It is located in Urban
area.
- The school consists of grade from 6 to 10.
- The school is co-educational and have an attached pre-primary section.
- There are more than 1500 students guided by 30 teachers. But the number of students is
gradually increasing. - 25 class room are available for teaching purpose.
- The medium of teaching is Odia. - And the school is well approachable.
4. FACILITIES
• SMART CLASS –
Now-a-days smart class is playing an amazing role in teaching children. Difficult
things are becoming easy through visual interpretation. It is helping students
understand the topic very effectively in a less period of time. It’s increasing interest
for studying.

• AUDITORIUM:
The school has a spacious auditorium with state-of-the-art facilities. Various Inter
computer labs / intra school functions are organized and executed smoothly in the
auditorium. It is equipped with the latest light and sound effects.
• COMPUTER LAB:
Computer and technical knowledge is very necessary now-a-days. As everything in
this era are operated online basic computer knowledge is mandatory. For this
purpose and many offices works there is a computer lab is present in the school.
More than 50 systems are present here for students.

• SCHOOL CLINIC:
The school’s clinic is looked after by a qualified doctor and caring nursing staff.
Medical check-ups are conducted in every two month and a dossier of every student
is maintained.

• SCIENCE LABORATORIES:
The school has well-equipped and well-stocked Physics and General Science
Laboratories where models, chemicals, apparatus, picture-charts area used as
effective tools to tech Science.

• SCHOOL HOSTEL:
Hostel is a most important aspect of school. It enables the staying and studying of
students who come from far places. Housed within the school premises, the hostel
 extends all requisite facilities to provide the students an environment as good as
home. The state-of-the-art facilities ensure a comfortable and healthy living
environment. The food and water supply are very good. Wardens are so kind and
helpful in nature. This facility is available for students from class 7 to 10.

• LIBRARIES:
Libraries offers reading materials on various topics. Reference books,
encyclopaedia’s, science magazines etc. are available.

• SCHOOL BOOKS & UNIFORMS:

Govt. Of Odisha provides all types of facilities to the students. Providing study
materials and uniforms is one of them.

• MID – DAY MEAL PROGRAMME:

School is also taking care of the proper nutrition of the students, so they have a Mid
– Day Meal programme in which they provide healthy lunch to students. The
neatness and Hygiene are maintained properly.

• PLAY GROUND:
To ensure holistic development of the student, games and sports are an integral part
of the school curriculum. The school boasts of vast play areas for students. Cricket
and football are used by the students to hone their skills. Professional coaches train
the students to excel in the sport/game of their choice.
6. TEACHING LEARNING MATERIAL:
Teaching learning material are collection of materials including animated and inanimate
objects, human and non-human resources that a teacher use in teaching learning process
and create a situation to help achieve desired learning objective. Without Teaching learning
material, the teaching will be not effective. Maximum teaching learning materials are
available in RENTAL HIGH SCHOOL, and all these are used by the students in the class. There
are various teaching learning materials i.e., Blackboard, Globe, Tape Recorder, Smart T.V,
Computer, Charts, Maps, Real objects, Word Books, Text Books, Markers, Chalk, Projector
which are used in this school.

7. METHODS OF TEACHING:
It is a very important aspect of teaching. It is the way, how teacher connects with students
to solve their doubts. The method of teaching should always according to the level of
students which helps them to understand the thing properly. In this school Play way
method, discussion method, storytelling method, role play methods are used in the
teaching-learning process.

8. CO-EDUCATION:

It enables providing equality and equal opportunities to both boys and girls. RENTAL HIGH
SCHOOL is going on the basis of co-education.

9. TEACHER STUDENT RELATIONSHIP:

The relationship between student and teacher plays a large role in the trajectory of a child's
academic success and development. In this school teacher-pupil relationship is very strong
and they co-operating and support to each other. Teachers are creative a positive
relationship with the students and that's why students are close and supportive to the
teacher. Students are always followed the rules of teacher and obeyed them. Every time
teachers care about the students and teach them good manners. They also help to students
or knowing new things and give them advice which are relevant to their education.

10. ROLE OF STUDENTS:

Students play a vital role and active role in education. This Rental High School learners are
co-operating the teachers in every situation this is in classroom discussion, organising a
meeting, maintaining discipline in the classroom, participate in every activity and
competition which is organised by the school, keep the school neat and clean and obey all
the teacher’s suggestion.
11. SCHOOL ACHIEVEMENTS:
Rental High School had just completed 33 years of schooling duration. And this school had
seen a tremendous growth since her establishment. It had seen many up and downs in her
life but it still stand in her own feet and still in follows the path of the development and
success which is a great thing.

12. SCHOOL CONTRIBUTIONS:

As this Rental High school is a governmental school, and is facilitates many students with
great environment and with greater bonding. This helps the students to get a better
studying surrounding with a greater performance. for this they will do great in their carrier
and make their future bright. So that they can stand in their in their own feet and go
forward.

13. DISCIPLINE:

Discipline is the practice of making people obey all the rules or standards of behaviour. So,
in every school they have some specific rules and regulation are followed by the students,
teacher as well as also by the parents.

14. CONCLUSION:

After all, above all the discussion there is no doubt, the school is famous and also a reputed
status in KHORDHA district which was coming under the Odisha Board CHSE. This school is
imparting education from more than 33 years. It is making progress in near future. This
school students are earning name and fame in all over field such as Education, Music,
Singing and many more. So finally, I have to find out that, it was one of the best schools in
terms of Government school.

14. RECOMMENDATION:

As my personal experience Rental High School is a good friendly nature school where
students as well as teachers are of the friendly nature where they live in a very safe type of
the environment. The big advantage of studying this kind of environment is that there will
be less fear in their heart and they can able to express and they can clarify their doubts
freely. By this the biggest benefit will be that they have friendly nature surrounding. In this
school all the students are happy and studying well and also make a good and standard
result in their academics.

16. SUGGESTIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT:

Although Govt. High School, CRP, Baramunda (Rental High School) providing an amazing
atmosphere for good quality of studying, it still requires development in some areas. That
are,
• More teachers are required.
• More Class Rooms are required.
• Libraries need development.
• More number of Smart Classes needed.
