TOPIC – ARTICLE WRITING

 The 3 points to remember -
1. The Introductory paragraph– that introduces
the topic
2. The supporting paragraphs - related
paragraphs that gives additional information
on the subject matter.
3. The concluding paragraph – conveys the
overall theme or gives logical end to the
topic.
 THE PREWRITING...
• Before starting a article, jot down all the
related points that come to your mind.
• Remember the topic paragraph should
introduce the main idea. It should create
curiosity and great interest on the
reader’s mind.
 THE PREWRITING...

• Use detailed sentences- you may use

descriptions, definitions, examples etc.
• Do not write unrelated sentences
• The concluding paragraph should be
thought provoking so that it lingers on
the reader’s memory.
 THE PREWRITING...
• It is advisable to add variety.
• Do not repeat your ideas again and again.
• You may change the order of the
sentences so that it does not break the
continuity.
• Revise your article for spelling,
punctuation and grammatical errors.

-Goa – best place

- Blue waters and balmy beaches
- Fine restaurants- food
- Sunny and warm
- Water sports
- Etc.
Now expand the ideas –

etc.

The desire to visit a place of scenic beauty or a place of historical interest, or
merely for amusement is present in almost everyone of us. It is a great pleasure to
visit our dream place with our friends and family members.

We often decide about the place of visit even before our holiday starts. We make
sure that it can soothe our exhausting mind and body after a long regular tedious
work. One such favorite place of interest is Goa. It is the perfect place for a vacation.
The sight of the deep blue sea and the balmy beaches are enough to relax our body
and mind.

The weather is always sunny and warm and therefore people can avail themselves of
various water sporting activities like speed boats, para sailing, water scooters etc. If it
comes to people like me who is foody, the place has many fine restaurants where
one can gorge on a variety of dishes whose origins can be traced to various parts of
the world. We can enjoy here to the fullest and have peace to the utmost level.

Places like Goa are the much awaited ones to visit where we can exhale our stress
and boost up our spirit for our new endeavours. I always wait eagerly for my
holidys to visit new places of interest and refresh myself.
