SMALL CELL
Small cells[1] are low-powered cellular radio access nodes that operate in licensed and unlicensed spectrum that have a
range of 10 meters to 200 meters. Small cells may encompass femtocells, picocells, and microcells. Small cells are low
power, short range wireless transmission systems (base stations) to cover a small geographical area or indoor / outdoor
applications. However, small cells have all the basic characteristics of a conventional base stations and it is capable of
handling high data rate for individual users.
