Introduction

The industrial attachment presentation covers the student ,s software support technician experience
at Alliance Technology(ATL) for the period of December 2020.

Background
Alliance vision is to be the preferred partner in Africa by offering world class business
solutions.
The company is realizing this vision by building profitable business relationships
through the provision of a wide range of innovative products and ICT services-to the benefit of all its
stakeholders
The company provides an end to end online Payment Gateway Solution called Peifast that supports
and enables E-commerce.
Peifast is integrated with One Money, Eco cash and Telecash.

Laboratory Management and Maintenance

The student used below procedures to perform the activity above:

• The student was to make sure that all computers are shutdown at the end of work day every week.
• The student had to sweep the floors every work day to make sure that the Lab is clean before occupied for
software development and demonstration to the Systems Engineer after application is complete.

Server Room Management and Maintenance

The student used below procedures the perform the activity above:
• The student was not allowed to use wet cleaning brooms when sweeping the server room.
• The student was not allowed to enter into the server with wet shoes when cleaning the server room.
• The server room was reported for any loss cables to the Systems Engineer.
• The student was not allowed to make noise or eat in the server room during cleaning. 13
ICT Certification
Since Alliance Technology was a Huawei ICT Partner most of its employees were encouraged to take professional
certifications very seriously.
Most of its ICT services contracts were based on the competency of its employees via availability of these
certifications.
I was allocated time by Mr. N Mabhena to take Mr Mapako Huawei ICT lessons in order to fit their culture.

The student was assigned to develop computer systems above to measure his competency in applying all the tools
that were installed and configured during his activities at Alliance Technology(ATL) using database server MySQL
Server 5.17.

Recommendations to Learning Institute:

• Considering that Java is the sort after enterprise software development framework in the industry it
is imperative for the HETT program to embrace Oracle/Sun Java Academy similar to the Huawei
ICT Academy that was spearheaded by the gracious Prof E.Mashonjowa in our curriculum.
• I kindly consider a Software Development Lab to fully equip HETT students with the practical
tools to solve real time problems .
• I recommend HETT program to initiate Software Development Competitions to affiliate students
with problem solving.

Recommendations to Alliance Technology(ATL):

• The Student kindly request ATL , Computer Society Of Zimbabwe(CSZ) , the Ministry Of Tertiary
Education to forge partnerships with State Universities and implement an Industry-University
Seminar Calendar to allow the HETT students to have a true picture of the industry specific
software frameworks that drive Enterprise Application Development(EAD) productivity and
efficiency
• This will leverage confidence and competency when students go for attachment only if HETT
students practice thorough hands practice via Software Development Lab.

 Conclusion

• I would need to thank HETT panel of Excellency for giving the opportunity to spend one year on
internship and used their Academic Excellency to excel at Alliance Technology may God give you
Life.
• I also need to thank God for his unconditional love and support l am now a Software Developer
• I managed to profoundly muster sort after Backend Java Server: Spring Boot Framework and
Frontend Java Client : Thyme Leaf Framework in MiniProjects only at Alliance Technology(ATL)
it was amazing.
