MEET THE NEW NEIGHBORS
Listen as your classmates read the text:

Kyrie: (Approaching the door when she heard someone knocking) Who is it?
Kirsten: Hi! My name is Kirsten Pedraya and my sister and I just moved to the
unit next door.
Kyrie: (Opens the door) Really? Are you students too? How may I help you?
Kirsten: Yes we are. We’re Meds students taking our intership at the local
hospital. Well, we were wondering if you had a listing of eateries in the area.
My sister and I just moved in and we are too tired to cook. Kateline said to just
take out but since we’re new, we don’t know what food joints to call. Do you
have a listing?
Kyrie: I do have a listing; but if you don’t mind, why don’t you and your sister
join me for dinner? That is, if you don’t mind spaghetti and soda. It would be a
great opportunity for us to get to know one another as I too am a Med student.
Kirsten: My sister and I would love to join you for dinner. Let me just tell her
and give us 20 minutes to shower and change. Is that ok?
Kyrie: That’s more than enough time to set the table. Ok, see you in 20
minutes.
