In classifying matter you

must look for the

characteristics and its
features.
C. Classifying Matter Based on
Texture

You can identify matter by touching or

feeling it. Fruits, vegetables, and other
objects may differ on how these are
described by observers.
Texture
The word texture means: what things are
made of and how they feel. Textures can be

As a natural process, means changes in the
materials brought about by the presence of
air and water in the environment and other
microorganisms.

Non-Decaying Materials

Non decaying materials or called non-biodegradable is

products include plastics products, metal products,
construction waste and electronics. Non biodegradable
products are item that cannot decay or be broken down

Product Label

What are product labels?

• Product labels are any piece of material

attached to a product to identify it, or to a
container to identify its contents. Information
that is directly written on a product can also be
considered a label. Product labels don’t
necessarily contain information on the item, and
may also include other information, including but
not limited to the brand, manufacturer, and
distributor.
What are product labels made of?
• Product labels could be made of any material suitable for
printing or writing product information
• Paper is by far the most common material used for product
labels. These labels can come in a variety of textures and
finishes. Commercial paper labels are often coated with a thin
plastic layer to afford some water resistance.

Importance of Product labels:

• The label on a product allows the customer to know

what is in the food they’re eating or the product they’re
using. This allows the consumer to know how healthy, or
unhealthy, the product is. It’s also important to display
the ingredients for those who may be allergic to certain
ingredients. Especially on food and beverage labels, it’s
easy to see the “may contain so-and-so ingredient” so
those allergic to that ingredient know to avoid it.
