Manufacture of SRV

 Materials: special alumina ceramic

 Advantage:
1. wearable, stability of chemical character, anti-rust, good temper
ature character
2. dispensing fast

 Disadvantage: frangible, hard to machining

Work Principle of SRV (1)
Open-vial mode

The handle on the

sampling valve is
turned to the upper
position. 2.5ml syringe
aspirates sample into
the shear valve.

Work Principle of SRV (2)
Open-vial mode

The handle of the sampling

valve is turned to the lower
position. The sampling valve
divides the sample into 4
segments and sends them
into different baths for
analysis.

Work Principle of SRV (3)
Open-vial mode

The handle of the

sampling valve is on the
lower position. Certain
amount of primarily
diluted sample is
aspirated from the
premix bath.

Cleanser Cleaning

 Cleanser Prime :
Open SV13 and corresponding valves, prime cleanser by +70kPa pressure.

 Cleanser Cleaning :
1. Open SV17, use diluent cleaning corresponding tubings by +70kPa press
ure.
2. Use Metering pump and syringe to clean counting tubing again.

Probe Cleanser Cleaning

 It includes SRV, WBC bath, RBC bath, Flow Cell, HGB bath, Premix bath,
HGB bath maintenance.
 Aspiration:
Overall Maintenance: Open SV07, PV10, SV11, SV16 and SV10, use DP4
aspirate 6ml (4 times) probe cleanser from Open-Vial probe into WBC c
hannel
and flow cell.
SRV Maintenance: Use 2.5ml syringe to aspirate probe cleanser into SR
V.
 Dispensing:
Use 2.5ml syringe dispense probe cleanser into HGB, RBC, Pre-mix bath.
95
 Cleaning: it is similar to cleanser cleaning.

Abnormal PLT Background

 PLT: 10~40. It is caused by dirty diluent, SRV or tubing.

 Cleaning by background test, probe cleanser soaking and disassemble
cleaning.

98 © 2011 Mindray Confidential

Abnormal PLT Background

 PLT: If there is interference, usually there will be a peak wave bet

ween 0-10 FL.

99 © 2011 Mindray Confidential

Abnormal PLT Background
 Check the shielding cover of RBC bath and the signal processing boar
d whether they are installed well.
 Check or decrease the RBC Gain. After that, you may recalibrate RBC,
PLT and MCV.
 Check there is leakage in the RBC rear bath.
 Check the isolation chamber under the RBC bath whether it is dirty.

 Check the reagent of LBA. Check the liquid parts adding LBA. Such as m
etering pump DP3, gas valve GV72, liquid valve SV27 and tubing from LB
A container to SRV.

 Check the metal connectors of WBC reaction bath whether they are block
ed; Clean the SRV and the tubing between the SRV and WBC reaction Bath
.

 Check the pinch valve PV12 and gas valve GV50.

 Check the pressure 0.25MPa, 0.07MPa and -0.085MPa.

 Check the signal processing board.

 Check the ambient temperature; it should be much more than 15 centigra
de.
 Check the Gain.
 Check the temperature of WBC reaction bath and pre-mix bath.
 Check the lyse LEO(I) and LEO(II); maybe themselves.
 Check the tubing adding LEO(I) and LEO(II) and metal connectors of WBC
reaction bath;
 Clean the SRV and the tubing between the SRV and WBC reaction Bath.
 Checking the metering pump DP1 and DP2 whether the dispensing volume i
s enough. Also the gas valves (such as GV69, 71) and liquid valves (su
ch as SV25, SV26)
 Check the pressure 0.07MPa and -0.085MPa.

HGB Error or HGB Results Abnormal

 Check and adjust HGB Gain to make sure the HGB blank voltage is 2.0-2.
4V (2.28V recommended).
 Check the HGB bath whether it is dirty or there is leakage.
 Check the HGB unit whether it is loose or dirty.
 Check whether there is enough diluent dispensed into the HGB bath when
counting. If not, check GV73, and SV19.
 Check whether there is enough LH lyse dispensed into the HGB bath when
counting. If not, check GV70, and SV28.
 Observe the mixing to see if bubble is too big or none. If yes, check
GV65 and CV6.
 Check the pressure 0.07MPa and -0.085MPa.

All the stars on the scattergrams
 Check the sheath fluid in the FCM chamber whether it is enough. If not
, perform “Prime > FCM cistern” in the “Service > Maintain” screen
.
 Check the corresponding liquid parts aspirating or dispensing the dilu
ent; such as SMC valve SV53, liquid valve GV80, tube kinkled or leaked
? Make sure no air going into FCM channel.
 Check the liquid parts dispensing the sheath fluid (diluent) into the
flow cell; such as SV3.
