• A kite is a quadrilateral with two distinct pairs of congruent


and adjacent sides.
A kite has the following characteristics..

• Adjacent sides…
It has one pair of congruent
consecutive shorter sides.
The other pair of congruent
consecutive side is longer.
AB and AD ; BC and DC
Opposite Sides…

• Both pairs of opposite


sides are not congruent.
• AB ≠ CD ;AD ≠ BC
Consecutive angles…

• All pairs of
consecutive angles are
not congruent.

Opposite Angles…

• It has only one pair of


congruent angles.
