ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Coren Jane M. Tupan is currently 18
years old and live in Barangay Pajo,
Meycauayan City of Bulacan. She is
currently studying under STEM strand at
Meycauayan Natioal High School. Her
hobby is singing and playing with her dogs.
She is also a consistent honor student since
grade 7. She graduated elementary in year
2016. Coren would like to pursue being an
accountant despite being a stem student.

MULTIMEDIA CONTENT
First and foremost, Capstone Research Project is very important for us students as it
plays a vital role in preparing students for the world of work thanks to its practical
applications and ability to enhance the students’ professional knowledge and skills. My
capstone research process was one of trial and error. Even if I had experience doing research
from junior high school I still find it difficult and very challenging because of uncontrollable
factors. First is doing the capstone in our situation, it gives me a hard time to adjust in this
learning method and to apply all the knowledge. Doing both research paper and the product
by myself is also challenging for me. Although I have a mentor, he can’t help me all the time
and, I am afraid to start and do my product by myself because I might damage the materials
resulting in spending and buying another material. While doing the project, I experience so
many trial and error resulting on removing some feature like the sensor and the adjustable
timer. I also learned that finding a most relevant and accurate related study or article is a
must in order to have a broader knowledge about your research and to have a appropriate
answer on how and why your project will benefit our society.

Additionally, I learned that when searching for articles the problem will not be that you can’t
find any but rather that there is too many to even look through, therefore, it is important to
narrow it by what exactly are you looking for as well as being specific as you can. During
the building process of my capstone, I experienced a hard time and doubt whether I will be
able to make the product work or if I will be able to present the project. However, because of
the support and ideas given by my friends and understanding of our subject teacher, it gave
me more confidence that I can be able to accomplish the research project. This taught me to
believe in my skills, to have more confidence and, be more determined and dedicated to
accomplish a specific task. Moreover, this capstone project also open my eyes to new
possibilities and solutions that we might never have otherwise considered. Also, it taught me
that in order for your project to be attractive to others, you need to clarify and thoroughly
explain the benefits they provide and the functions they perform.
