MYTHS ABOUT RIZAL
Different myths have emerged as products of wild imagination and conspiracy theories, that are
often times regarded as absurd and irrational conclusions.
Rizal as a Serial Killer
During 1888 in London, there was a serial killer whom was widely identified as ‘’Jack The
Ripper’’
All five of Jack The Ripper’s victims were murdered in an intricately odd manner, something
that gave the Londoners a suspicion that the murderer was a surgeon.
Coincidentally, Rizal was in London on May 24, 1888 to personally copy the book ‘’Sucesos de
las Islas Filipinas’’ by hand.
Rizal then left London to publish the book in January 1889–exactly the same time when the
murders stopped.

RIZAL AS HITLER’S FATHER
While visiting Austria in May 1887, Rizal allegedly had a one-night stand with an Austrian
prostitute. Dr. Maximo Viola, Rizal’s companion, wrote about this event in one of his diary
entries. Adolf Hitler, also an Austrian, was born not long after the passionate encounter.
