POPULATION, SAMPLE,
AND TESTING FOR
NORMALITAS DATA
• Population is all of data that identify one
issue
Example :
Population & Sample • All of worker in Indonesia
• All of student in Jakarta
• Populasi is depend on function and
relation between data
• Sample is half of population
data
Example :
• Population = All of

Sample students in Jakarta

• Sample = Student in 8th
semester of Information
System major
• Sample is part of
population
Sampling technique is one way to get
sample that represent of population
Sampling technique devided two part:
1. Probability Sampling
Technique that give same chance to
Sampling Technique population to be a sample
a. Technique of simple random sampling
Sampel is taken randomly without
consider to strata
Element of population have same chance
to be sample
For homogen population
b. Proportionate stratified random sampling
*Populasi devided to strata
(example : degree of education, salary)
*Every strata will chosen with simple
random sampling.
*Specify for strata population
c. Disproportionate stratified random
sampling
similar with strata population but not
proporsional
d. Custered (Area) sampling
*population devided to cluster/area
(example: province, PNS, private employee,
farmer, etc)
2. Non-Probabilitas Sampling
a. Systematic sampling
Technique that make sample with order of data
Example: sampling technique with depth: 0 m, 5
m, 10 m, 15 m, so on (in interval 5 meter)
b. Quota sampling
c. Accidental sampling
d. Judgment/purposive sampling
Judgement of expert
e. Saturated Sampling
All of data population be sample
f. Snowball Sampling
•

A. Normal Curve
B. Formulation
Normality of Data z
C. Test of Normality data
•

Chi Square method is used to

approach factors or evaluate
frequency that research or
observation frequency with
hoping frequency of sample
Chi-Square and then will check if they are
have relation or not
