LUFTHANSA GROUP STANDARDIZES A320
FLEET IN 2019
Lufthansa Group standardized the Airbus A320 fleet
across its carriers. The cost-saving move was applied
to all A320 Family aircraft delivered from 2019
onwards, and focussed on cabin design and the
gallery, but also extended to components such as
emergency equipment and electronic flight bag
systems

This allowed the Lufthansa Group to react more

quickly and flexibly to current developments
and to move aircraft and capacities more easily
and efficiently between the airlines and the
Group’s hubs

Reduced costs for conversion and

layover time , synergy while
purchasing

can use the aircraft to adapt to any of their runway urban environments to remote
business needs. A320s are traditionally high-altitude airports, or even major
flown on routes ranging from 45mins, hubs and more challenging airports, the

SCHEDULING JOBS AT WEST
BOKARO, TATA STEEL
Scheduling is a regular integrated activity at operations.

Scheduling is evident in form of micro-level scheduling (Front line supervisors &

leaders), Improvement Projects (ASPIRE & SHIKHAR25), Geological
Scheduling for coal reserves optimization at West Bokaro mines.

Geological scheduling is done considering coke requirement, available

technology, coal prices and MoU conditions. The purpose is to maximize value
of the division.

Two of the scheduling examples are covered in upcoming slides.

ODR for Highwall equipment service order, commissioning and operations.
Highwall equipment marching from Q-SE to Q-AB

The scheduling was carried out at MS-Projects and the progress was tracked
using chart paper and pencil. The summarized update was sent to VP(RM) 17
office (LCR) fortnightly and MD office quarterly (RM Quarterly review).
