NOTES
The subject of an active sentence becomes the object of passive
sentence.
Only transitive verbs are used in passive
( Active: an accident happened. Passive: None)
Passive voice is used when we focus more on “what is done” to
“who done it”
( the bridge was built in 1925)
A. The research was conducted in May 2020 by the FDA team.
B. The researcher conducted the study in May 2020. not ok
We use the passive when we do not know “the doer”
(His car was stolen)
