Strategies
I. ENROLLMENT

1. Barat Elementary school shall conduct enrollment from 1 to 30 June to 15 of

July 2020. Early registration since February 2020 shall be recognized. Schools
and community learning centers may use online or other innovative ways of
enrolment process to adhere to minimum health standards and protocols.

2. During the enrollment, parents/guardians shall provide information by

filling up the enrollment and survey form intended to collect information
related to the adoption of appropriate learning modalities and support needed
to ensure learning continuity.

3. Teachers encoded the accomplished enrollment form in the Learner

Information System (LIS) enrollment module which will be deployed by DepEd
Central Office starting 8 June 2020. The detailed procedures for the
deployment of the enrollment and survey forms shall be issued separately.
Strategies

II. PRE-OPENING OF THE CLASSES

The pre-opening activities of all schools shall be from 1 to 23 August 2020.

During this period learners and parents shall be introduced and oriented
on foundational topics, utilization of alternative learning modalities,
corresponding learning materials, and mental health and psychosocial
support activities. They may also undertake activities such as Brigada
Eskwela and Balik Eskwela provided the minimum health safety
protocols/standards such as social distancing, use of facial mask, etc are
followed. These pre-opening activities devoted to the attainment of the
learning objectives for the school year shall be counted as class days.
Strategies

III. FORMAL OPENING OF THE SCHOOL YEAR 2020-2021

1. Formal opening of classes for School Year 2020-2021 shall be on 5 October

2020. This will allow the school to prepare learners, teachers, parents, and
other learning institutions for education continuity plan. This is aligned with
the school calendar and activities set by DepEd National Office as per DepEd
Order No. 007, series of 2020 that is consistent with Republic Act 7797.

2. Opening of schools do “not necessarily mean that teachers and learners will
undergo the traditional face-to-face in-classroom setup” (DepEd National
Office statement 05 May 2020).

3. The School shall adopt appropriate and feasible learning delivery modality
such as, but not limited to, face-to-face, blended learning, distance learning,
home-based learning, homeschooling and other modes of delivery depending
on the local COVID-19 Risk Severity Classification in compliance with
minimum health standards issued by IATF.

BARAT ES stands firm to its commitment to provide quality,
relevant, accessible, and liberating quality education for all despite the
pandemic. It shall cater the diverse needs of its learners and provide
them with learning experiences in applicable delivery modes.
It has seven key stages. The developed Learning Continuity Plan is
uniquely crafted based on the emerging situations of our learners and
their environment. School profiling had been religiously and carefully
carried out to arrive at reliable data. Factors include the readiness of
teachers and learners to online modalities, blended instructions, on-air,
and modular approach. Thereby, we strongly supports the Department
of Education Secretary Leonor M. Briones’ stance that education must
continue amidst this pandemic

PROCESSESS/ STRATEGIES OF THE REMOTE ENROLMENT

1. The school has established Deped Help Desks to aide in the distribution and retrieval of
Learner Enrolment and Survey Forms. These can be found in areas such as:
Barangay Halls
stores of community leaders
stores surrounding many households
households of purok/sitio representatives
household of the PTA President
2. Established Help Desks have boxes properly labelled for the parents to easily organize
their Learner Enrolment and Survey Forms accordingly. This will be done in order to lessen
contact to whoever submit the form.
3. Parents who need assistance in filling out the forms will be accommodated and only those
are given face to face interaction in the school.
4. Teachers may report to school inorder to attend to the concerns on enrolment observing
health protocols.
5. Teachers in the district will use the Filipino version of the enrolment forms inorder for the
parents to easily understand and supply the details on it.
6. In the far flung areas, the forms are distributed by volunteer parents who reside in the
same place and its collection will be made through the Deped Help Desks nearest to their
place.
7. All teachers will be involved in the updating, processing and consolidating of the data
collected on enrolment as required by the department especially the ICT Coordinators and
Enrolment Focal Persons.
8. There is a strong advocacy on health standards against COVID 19 in the process of
enrolment by the teachers to the parents and the community.
