LEARNING CONTINUITY PLAN

School Year: 2020 - 2021

I. INTRODUCTION

The COVID-19 pandemic is the current health crisis affecting with great and dramatic impact
on the global community; on people’s lives and health, sources of living, economies and in both
mental and behavioral aspects of every affected individuals. It has affected the educational
system in the country, leading to the total closure of schools, universities and colleges.

Cognizant of the effects and danger that this pandemic effectuate, The San Fernandino
National High School-Extension devises its LEARNING CONTINUITY PLAN (LCP) to
address the educational dilemma, cater its clientele and provide an imperative direction in
making the 2020-2021 a thriving school year for the learners of the said institution.

The school’s LCP includes key features on K-12 curriculum adjustments, school readiness,
capacity and accessibility to distance learning, modalities to be offered by the school and
initiatives and preparation needed for the opening of classes and continuing development of the
learners.

With this LCP, the school assures the students’ learning shows no impedance even during the
pandemic. This could be achieved through various health implementations and protocols in
compliance to COVID-19 minimum health standards.

Everybody is taking steps and making modifications on certain policies and practices in
adapting to the “new normal” whilst steadfast to the framework of Sulong EduKalidad. The
choice and contextualization of the learning delivery modality will depend on the local COVID-
19 situation as well as access to available learning platforms.

This ensures that our learners and teachers are given time and be properly equipped and
provided to cope up to the new adjustments in the educational system. Education can and must
continue.

We are giving emphasis on the importance of education, with today’s status quo, to bring
normalcy to the lives of our learners but their health and safety, is most important.

There will holdbacks, manacles and deterrents in taking this path but we are adamant and we
are hoping that our teachers, our parents, our learners and our communities will form an
unbreakable bond in facing hand in hand this crisis and thus, to provide valuable insights and
contributions.

We Will because We Can!
