PROJECT INNOVATION PROPOSAL
(Project TEAM)

I. Project Title: Project TEAM:

T- ogether
E-everyone
A-chieves
M-ore

(A strategy to maximize stakeholders’ support for the improvement of learners’ performance)

II. Proponent: CLODOMIRO O. MABINI

IV. Background/Rationale
Parents and guardians play a vital role in the learning of a child. They should encourage
the child to study to achieve his/her learning achievements in school. That is why they must also
have engagement in schools’ projects to create a positive and successful school culture and
climate.
According to Leung, M. and Fung, I. (2005), "Enhancement of classroom facilities of
primary schools through parental involvement has a great impact on the academic performance
of students." As a result, children whose parents stay involved are more likely to have higher
self-esteem, be disciplined, have more self-motivation and tend to achieve better grades.
On this date, the proponent finds parents in grade ____ are lacking partnership. In fact,
during online HRPTA Meeting, only 56% attend the meeting and the remaining 44% neglect to
support the identified classroom priority projects. So the proponent wants to focus on parental
and community involvement through Project TEAM wherein major projects will be discussed.
Although there is DO 5, S. 1992 – Policy On Solicitation of Contributions, which states that
there is "no collection" policy in all public schools, the proponents, together with the help of
GPTA, HRPTA will tap potential donors to finance the projects stated in the objectives.

V. OBJECTIVES:
Project TEAM aims strengthen school-community partnership for possible sharing of
expertise, talents, and ideas into the school improvement.
Specifically, it aims to:
1. Procure bond paper and ink supplies for the printing of learning modules;
2. Purchase a printer intended to provide a practical means for both teacher and students to
retain hard copies of activity sheets and projects undertaken during a lesson;
3. Acquire a portfolio cabinet/bins for proper filing of returned modules;
4. Improve the pupils’ academic performance from 75% to 80%; and
5. Acknowledge outstanding donors and sponsors thru a Recognition Award.

VI. Project Description and Components:

Project TEAM is based on principle of shared responsibility and governance of schools to
produce remarkable results and quality outputs in education through the appropriate and
maximum use of parents’ support in the teaching learning process.
Some of the features of project TEAM:
1. Organize and enhance teacher-parent-community partnership in achieving the school
goals.
2. Inculcates positive values through Bayanihan.
3. Establishes linkages with support groups specially people in the community.
