COMMENTS IN MS WORD
• Comment is a piece of text placed within a program to help users to understand a content of
the document.
• It is used in MS Word to make suggestions to people or to track issues for follow up.
• It is also used to make note while redrafting a document.
HOW TO ADD COMMENTS IN MS

STEPS
 Select the chunk of text upon which you
desire to make a comment on.
 Click the review tab.
 In the comments group, click the new
comment button.
 Type the comment.

HOW TO REPLY A COMMENT IN MS
WORD DOCUMENT
1. Hover over the comment you wish to
reply to.
2. Click the reply icon in the upper right
corner of the comment box.
3. A reply field will appear with your name
attached.
4. Type your reply in the field.
5. Press the Escape key to complete your
reply.

comment button to locate the offending
comment.
In the comments area, choose Delete
Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to remove additional
comments.
HOW TO PRINT COMMENTS IN MS
WORD
• Click CTRL+P
• Click the Print All Pages button to view its
menu.
• Choose the Print Markup command.
• Make any other settings in the Print
window as needed.
• Click the big Print button to print the
document.
