 We focus on non-engineered houses built by
common people in our project.
 We want to improve the quality of non-

engineered houses in terms of seismic

resilience.

We use IMB system for the improvement of

non-engineered houses
Why does IMB system is useful to improve the quality
of non-engineered houses?

1.Through the IMB system, government can enforce

people to make correct/adequate drawing for the
construction of non-engineered houses.

2.If correct/adequate information for non-engineered

houses is input to the construction site, correct/adequate
construction method can be carried out/implemented by
worker.
 How do we intend to improve existing IMB system?

1. To arrange the regulations from the view points below.

1) Submitting documents for non-engineered houses.
2) How to check those submitted documents in terms of technical matters.
2. To support the people who submit IMB application document by means of Prototype
drawing.
3. To enhance the building administration system by means of installing MIS system.

 Understanding of Building Law
IMB system was implemented based on Building law (UU28/2002)(PP36/2005)
1) Central government should give further provisions for requirements. And local
government should implement.
2) UU28/2002 and PP36/2005 should be followed by people.
3) We tried to prepare the model Perda.

The objectives of Building Law

- Safety (of each building by technical requirement)
- Orderly development (now and future) (To monitor in accordance with spatial plan)
Local government should decide implementation rule for building based on
UU28/2002 and PP36/2005.
 Contents of PERDA proposal
1. To issue IMB by head of local government
1-1. Checking method is determined by other guideline, and submitting IMB application
document should be stipulated clearly
1-2. To determine the style of IMB
1-3. To stipulate the obligation that building owner should submit IMB application document
If the function of building was changed.
1-4. To stipulate data recording system.
1-5. To stipulate the obligation that spatial section should provide latest land use plan to
applicant.
1-6. To stipulate the usage of experts
