INTRODUCTION

 Protected, sound and manageable portability is one of the basic necessities of person.

 Road Traffic Accident is a global phenomenon now-a-days. It is an undesirable or unfortunate


incident that mostly occurs unintentionally and usually result in harm, injury, damage or loss.

 Without sustained action, road traffic crashes are predicted to become the seventh leading cause of
death by 2030.

 Road traffic injuries are the leading cause of death among people aged between 15 to 29 years.

 Children, pedestrians, cyclists and older people are among the most vulnerable of road users.

Dinajpur is an important city, located in northern part of Bangladesh under Rangpur division. The
internal communication system in this town is well organized. Vehicle entering into Dinajpur
increases the possibility of accident occurrence.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

 To examine the extent and variation of road traffic accident and to investigate the
major causes contributing to road accident on Dinajpur City Road.

 To identify the road traffic accident patterns that exists in Dinajpur City Zone.

 To suggest some possible strategies and counter measure that will contribute to
reducing the problems of road accidents.

 To increase awareness among people about road accident and road safety.

WORK TO BE DONE

 In our next semester we will collect some previous years accidental data (2010 – 2017).

 Then we will analysis the data to reach in a possible solution of this existing road
traffic accident problem.
