Activity 1: “PASS THE
MESSAGE”
1. Group yourselves into 5
2. Arrange yourselves in lines from the front to the back of the
classroom.
3. The last persons at the back will be given a paragraph to whisper to
the persons in front of them.
4. Repeat the procedure until it reaches the first persons in the lines,
who then will write the paragraph on the board.
5. The group that finishes first with the most accurate output wins the
game and will have a +5 points on the 1 st quiz.

1. Speaker- source of information/message.
2. Message- the information, ideas, or
thoughts.
3. Encoding- the process of converting the
message into words, actions, or other forms
that the speaker understands.

4. Channel – the medium or the means, such
as personal or non-personal, verbal or non-
verbal, in which the encoded message is
conveyed.
5. Decoding- the process of interpreting the
encoded message of the speaker by the
receiver.

someone who decodes the message.
7. Feedback- the reactions, responses, or
information provided by the receiver.
8. Context/Situation – the environment where
communication takes place.
