COMPARISON OF OLD PROPOSAL 1 & NEW PROPOSAL 2
LOCATION OF WATER SOURCE AT PEER KALLAY

• A meeting was held on 26-01-2022 at secretary PHE KPK office in

which the comparison of two options was discussed. In the light of
selection criteria, it is considered that option 2 based on tube wells is
more feasible than that of option 1,the priority is given to security of
the project. Since risk of sabotage is minimum therefore preference is
given to option 2.
Difficulties:
• There is elevation difference of 2575 ft between sources and
hillock selected for storage reservoir, which requires 4
intermediate pumping station.
• The permission required from PKHA for laying pipe line in their
ROW
SELECTION CRITERIA FOR DEVELOPMENT OF SOURCE

Consultant have considered the following factors in selection of the

development source:
1. Cost of Development.
2. Physical implementation of construction work.
3. Social and economic conditions of the area.
4. Risk against security and sabotage.
Considering minimum risk of security and sabotage the source at
peer kallay with Tube wells is decided.
