Health must be the number one priority and main
focus of our sector nowadays, but how can we
strengthen it? How are we going to make our
learners’ health specially those with poor nutritional
status be improved?

Gulayan sa Paaralan Program is an activity
which aims to promote proper nutrition and
mitigate hunger among learners. Eating right
amount of fruits and vegetables will help develop
the body and mind of the students, that is why we
are encourage to have this kind of program.

2022
Our school doesn’t stop in carrying through this
project amidst the pandemic COVID – 19 because
we believe that this help end somehow malnutrition
in our community. Of course, this is possible with the
help of our local government unit, provincial school
board, students, stakeholders and the school itself.

GPP IMPLEMENTATION2021-
2022
This project will only be possible if actions are
taken. That’s why before we proceeded in planting
we made sure that our GPP this time is well prepared.
We extended our GPP area through converting
school’s available area in a garden and we imported
five trucks of garden soil where we spent 80,200
pesos. GPP IMPLEMENTATION2021-

2022
We were so lucky and blessed that last time were
chosen as one of the10 grantees of agricultural
materials given by the provincial school board
through a release order like seeds, fertilizers,
insecticides, fungicides and gardening materials
amounting to Php 19, 862.00. We used this stuffs to
improve and enrich ourGPPschool GPP.

This contributed lots of help to us specially in
bringing up our GPP projects. We immediately
cultivated soil in our garden area which has a total
measure of 103sqm the time we received the
materials. The first phase of the implementation
started from soil cultivation and planting the seeds.

GPP IMPLEMENTATION2021-
2022
Then upon monitoring, after several weeks when seeds started
to grow with enough size of sprouts we moved it to plots and
separated to each other with enough distance assuming its
larger size when it fully grow we applied fertilizers to make the
soil even more fertile. Now, we are already on the next phase
which is the maintenance of the plants. Procedures like daily
cultivation, putting insecticides, fertilizers and watering are
always done.
