Introduction

An Obstacle avoiding car is an intelligent

device, which can automatically sense and This obstacle avoiding car is built to sense any
overcome obstacles on its path. Obstacle obstacle in its path, to avoid it and resume
avoidance is a robotic discipline with the involving the pre-computation of an obstacle free
objective of moving vehicles on the basis path.
of the sensorial information.

3
Need Statement

Need for a system which can detect obstacles and move in pre-
computed path.

Need for the detection of obstacles that appear suddenly.

Need to minimize human risk regarding the upper limit of a human

eye.

4
Problem Statement

• Increasing road accidents is very

measure problem.
• According to Data 1214 road
accidents happen daily in India.

5
Design Objectives
•The main objectives of the
project are :-
•Software development in the
design , construction and
programming of an autonomous
car.
•To design a car capable of
obstacle detection in a controlled
environment.

6
Methodology
• An ultrasonic sensor is used to
detect any obstacle ahead of it
and sends a command to the
Arduino. Depending on the input
signal received, the Arduino
redirects the car to move in an
alternate direction by rotating the
motors which are interfaced to it
through a motor driver.
