This document discusses creating an odor eliminator for piggery and poultry waste using activated charcoal and baking soda. Living near these farms can cause health issues from odors and flies. The study aims to determine the best mixture of activated charcoal and sand to effectively control odors without harming animals. It analyzes mixtures of 30%, 50%, and 70% charcoal to determine characteristics like effectiveness, odor control, and duration of odor absorption to help improve community health and safety.

Actidose Aqua (Activated Charcoal) And Baking Soda Background Of The Study Our Piggery/Poultry Waste Eliminator are a novel source of vitality, effectiveness, and cost-effective product. The use of activated charcoal can help in fighting the strong odor or smell. It is a form of carbon that has a very large surface. The odors and impurities are held to the surfaced with Van der Waals forces. The capability of removing notable amounts of these impurities or odors is thanks to the extraordinarily large surface of the activated charcoal. Background Of The Study . According to Van der Waals forces, in molecular physics, the Van der Waals force, named after Dutch physicist Johannes Diderik Van der Waals, is a distance- dependent interaction between atoms or molecules. This study aims to help communities or even the LGU’s to come up with an idea to fight the bad effects of the said problem. Significance Of The Study We come up on this idea of poultry or piggery waste odor eliminator out of activated charcoal and baking soda, because in our community we discover that there are some peoples or families who lives next to a piggery and poultry farm. We found out that some families or an individual wil move to another place and sell their house because of the bad smell that causes some bad effects on them that is coming from both farms. Significance Of The Study And as a team, we need to find a solution on this specific problem. “How about we create a powder solution that can reduce the smell coming from the piggery and poultry waste?” We will try our best to help and prevent this kind of situation and have a peaceful and good community. Significance of The Study And we can also avoid the problems that comes with it too. The flies, when harvesting is in process at the poultry farms, flies are easily attracted by the chicken waste. So when you live next to a poultry farm and harvesting season will come, not only the smell can be your enemy, but the flies that will contaminate your food and even your kitchenwares too. They can carry some mild to serious illness or diseases. In this study, it will give an idea to the farm owners to replicate this mixture too. Purpose By this animal odor waste eliminator, we can help to prevent the disturbance caused of the problem. This product can eliminate the smell coming from both farms. Which means, by eliminating the smell, no one will ever try to move to another place or to get sick caused by the odor or the flies. According 2020 Annual Poverty Indicators Survey (APIS) about seven percent of Filipino family members got sick/injured in June 2020 as a result of flies related diseases. In this study, we can help to lower it down by atleast 2-3% of casualties. Statement Of The Problem This study aims to create analysis of effectivity and odor control found in activated charcoal and sand.
1. Specifically, it aims to determine the variant amount
of activated charcoal and sand
1.1 30:70 ( 30% Charcoal and 70% Sand)
1.2 50:50 (50% Charcoal and 50% Sand) 1.3 70:30 (70% Charcoal and 30% Sand) Statement Of The Problem 2. To determine the characteristics of the product, we have to identify the:
2.1 Effectiveness
2.2 Odor Control
3. How long does this process takes?
4. Is there a component in the activated charcoal and
sand that can eliminate or absorbs odor? Statement Of The Problem 5. Do animal waste odor eliminator show possible threat for the pigs/chickens?
6. How long do the effictivity of odor control takes?
