1. What is a cluster map?

A cluster map describes through a diagram:


• Important stakeholders and their numbers
• Value and distribution of business at least among principal
firms
• Business linkages among various cluster actors with respect
to the principal firms
• 2 types of cluster map – current and future
• A summary view of the cluster at one place
2. Why do we need a cluster map?

Cluster map informs us regarding


• Linkages that exist but need to be strengthened
• Linkages that do not exist and need to be
developed
• Changes in macro indicators that we perceive for
the principal stakeholders
• Importance of linkages as an end product
