- is an application software that

communicate ideas, messages and
other information to a group.

HOME
This tab includes options for adding a new
slide, changing the font, and size of your
text, copying and pasting.
INSERT
is used to insert different features such as
tables, pictures, clip art, shapes, charts, page
numbers, word art, headers, and footers into a
document.
DESIGN
This tab includes options for different design
layouts and templates. These change the
colors and fonts that are used in the
presentation.
TRANSITION
This tab includes options for adding
different transitions to slides.
ANIMATIO
N
This tab includes options for adding
different animation to slides.
SLIDE SHOW
This tab includes options for beginning
and ending a slide show at a certain
point. It also allows you to rehearse the
timing of your presentation.
REVIEW
this tab is used to check the spelling in the
presentation, to add comments to different
slides within the presentation, and to
protect the presentation so that others
cannot make revisions to the presentation.
VIEW
This tab is used to view the presentation in
different formats, it is also used to view
more than one PowerPoint window at a
time, or to decide whether to display the
ruler within the window
Creating an Effective Presentation
Minimize
- Keep slide counts to a minimum to maintain a clear message and
to keep audience attentive.

Clarity
- Avoid being fancy by using font style that is not easy to read.

Simplicity
- Use bullets or short sentences.
- Summarize the information on the screen to have your audience
focus on what the speaker is saying than on reading the slide.
Visuals
- Usegraphics to in your presentation but not to many to distract
the audience.

Consistency
- Makeyour design uniform avoid having different font styles and
backgrounds.

Contrast
- Use light font on dark background or vice versa. This is done so
that it is easier to read.
