MOBILE PHONES
A very large number of people nowadays own a mobile phone. But
I’M notconvinced that everybody of them knows about the risks of
these mobile phones and how expensive, especially if children or youths
own them. As it is a very controversial topic I want to talk about the
advantages and disadvantages and risks of mobile phones.
As I have said already, mobile phones could cause a very big problem,
especially if children pr youths own one. They still have to learn how to
deal with money; as a consequence they call all their friends and many
other people without thinking of theirmoney.
Additionaly, there is problem on mobile phone promotions. They’re
always on TV and the young people watch them and download a very
expensive things like wallpapers, sounds and games. Even if they know
that they wouldn’t need all these things, they still want them.
Another disadvantage is the damage of health a mobile phone can
cause. There are very dangerous rayswhich can start cancer.
Evaluation:

Nevertheless mobilephones are very practical, because as an

example if you drive with your car in a very abandoned area and your car
brakes down, it’s very profitable to have a mobile phone. Well, because
you don’t need to search a house or a phone box to call someone who is
able to repair your car.
Such a mobile phone is also very practical when you have to do an
emergency call, because you can call for instance the fire brigade on the
spot. And they can find you anytime if you forget to say where they
shouldcome. But that’s a disadvanatge at the same time, because if you
don’t want to be found, they could find you.
There are some other more or less small advantages a mobile phone
can bring with. You have a clock on the phone, so don’t need a separate
clock on your arm and there are games and sometimes an mp3 player on
the phone. For an instance, when you’re sitting somewhere and you have
to wait for the bus a long time, you can play games or listen to music with
yourmobilephone.
