Project Summary
Project Title Saving Organic

The most common open burning places in Myanmar - Yangon, Sittwe


Target Area/Location
Township (Rakhine State) & Ye Township (Mon State)

Project Duration 6-months (1st July - 31st December 2022)

People in mid-aged between the ages of 40 and 60, farmers and anyone
Target Population
who have a strong interest in the issue

30 participants per training


Beneficiaries
270 participants

3-days , 3 trainings per state

Total - 9 trainings

Project Goal
Our goal is to reduce the organic waste disposal practices which contribute GHGs emissions by raising the environmental
literacy and sustainability awareness of the people.

Project Objectives
1) To improve environmental literacy of the people from targeted areas instead of burning of dry leaves and disposing
the organic waste to the landfills
2) To be aware of a sustainable process of soil rehabilitation and alternative solutions called composting Methods
3) To apply eco-friendly practices that lead to environmental sustainability and create opportunities for community farms
and local families

Project Activities
We will conduct our environmental literacy project with four different activities.

1. Baseline Assessment Survey


About 270 households from Yangon, Sittwe (Rakhine State) and Ye (Mon State)

Team members have to be passionate to enlighten the stakeholders concerning environmental literacy
knowledge and skills during the workshops and throughout their lifelong time

Standard 3 :
All the collaborators, speakers, trainers, and trainees have to know and respect the goals of this project, and
their actions relating to this project should implement the plans

Standard 4 :
Training materials and resources should be flexible depending on time and circumstances unless those could
not lead the opposite direction of project goals
