BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Computer and internet have been a part of
everyday life in our modern society. Whilemost
people mainly use their computers and the
Internet in a meaningful and
controlled way, some people lose control over
how often and for how long they surf
the Internet, are active on social medias, or spend
their time playing online games. This can result in
quite considerable psycho-social problems.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The main feature of the Internet or computer

addiction is the increasing loss of
control over computer use. Those affected are
thus no longer able to sufficiently limit
the frequency and duration of use.
The excessive use of computers takes up more
and more time and attention. Theother areas of
life, such as school, work, hobbies, and social
contacts, increasinglyfall into the background.
Symptoms of the disease include excessive
chatting, excessive and often pointless surfing on
the Internet, or excessive playing of what
are known as multiplayer games: These include
role-playing games or first-personshooters such
as mobile legends or valorant, which some
students play together withother users via the
Internet.
In the course of the illness, the affected person
gradually reduces family and social
contact, and general performance decreases. The
relationship with the real worldisincreasingly
accompanied by stressful feelings such as
loneliness, fear, or
depression. This, in turn, promotes further retreat
into the virtual world and can
ultimately lead to the affected person losing
himself or herself in it.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The findings of this study will redound to the

benefit of students who have fallen inaddiction to
computer games. By showing the definite
negative effects of shallowgaming addiction.
Through this research, the community will further
realize the
negative result of gaming addiction.
Moreover, the analysis that is presented in
thisstudy will convey valuable information for
future research that will explore the
variousillnesses and diseases that arise from
further addiction to playing computer games.
SCOPE AND DELIMITATION

This research will only cover the students who

have fallen to various computer
games to mainly identify the effects of the
addiction. This involves a survey for thosewho
have an addiction to various computer games.
LOW SPEED INTERNET
CONNECTION AND ITS EFFECT
ON THE ACADEMIC
PERFORMANCE OF GRADE 11
ICT - SPCF
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

The usage of the internet for educational

purposes helps to simplify information exchange
and communication. It allows students to watch
lectures online and access important study
materials in a variety of multimedia forms.
It also aids instructors by allowing them to
employ a variety of tools in their classroom. Every
person knows that the internet can help them
attend classes, meetings, and work. Fast internet
connections can help people communicate easily
with other people that they need to talk with.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

A low-speed connection has the effect of

disrupting pupils' studies and forcing them to
reconnect. All of these changes are dependent on
and have an impact on internet speed and
bandwidth capacity. Students may become
distracted, fall behind, or have limited access to
classroom materials as a result of reliability and
performance difficulties.
Poor internet access can affect a student’s
academic performance. Students without decent
internet access can’t connect with teachers or
classmates, do independent research, or get
online homework help, which affects
transmission quality. Lectures are not clearly
audible.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

Internet access may benefit schooling in a variety

04 to a multitude of
of ways. It provides access
information, knowledge, and educational
resources, expanding learning possibilities both
inside and outside of the classroom. Access to
the internet provides access to a multitude of
information, expertise, and educational tools.

SIGNIFICANCE OF
DEVELOPMENT IN INFORMATION
TECHNOLOGY
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
What is information technology? Information
technology (IT) is the use of computers, storage,
04 physical devices,
networking, and other
infrastructure, and processes to create, process,
store, secure, and exchange all forms of
electronic data. Typically, IT is used in the context
of business operations, as opposed to technology
used for personal or entertainment purposes. The
commercial use of IT encompasses both
computer technology and telecommunications.
Developments in information technology started
from manual computations via numbers and
analog computers to what we have now. Cloud
computing reduces the IT infrastructure cost of
the company and promotes the concept of
virtualization, which enables server and storage
devices to be utilized across an organization.
Cloud computing has the capacity to make
maintenance of software and hardware easier as
installation is not required on each end user’s
computer.
These are the advantages of cloud computing and
they include certain issues such as privacy,
compliance, security, legal, abuse, IT governance,
etc. Another emerging trend within information
technology is mobile applications, including
software applications on smart phones, tablets,
etc.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The developments in information technology are

caused by time and the development of modern
technology. The main issue in the development of
information technology may not be significant or
not a breakthrough in modern technology since it
could not be a major discovery. If there were no
development, that is another issue in itself. What
will the development of information technology
do to our society?
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

Researchers chose this study to learn what

developments in information technology can do
to workers, students, and professors of
information technology in order to understand
how developments in information technology
affect us as students and workers in the industry.
