Canada is a former domain of the United
Kingdom and was founded in 1867. After the Law
on British North America the country kept the
British Monarch as its sovereign with a symbolic
value rather than an actual political power, since
the political power is held by the General
Governor. Queen Elizabeth II is pictured on the
Canadian dollar and most of the royal symbols of
Canada are identical to those used in the United
Kingdom and were imported by the British during
the colonization of Canada.

Shopify Inc. is a Canadian multinational that
commercializes the ecommerce platform called
Shopify. It was founded by Thomas Lutke, who
noticed there weren’t e-commerce solutions available
for his online shop Snowdevil. Shopify allows you to
create customizable e-commerce stores as well as
physical retail stores, thanks to Shopify POS. Shopify
immediately offers an online store with hosting
services as well as functionalities to process orders
from all around the world. There also are tools
dedicated to entrepreneurs, such as webinars and
meetings called “Shopify Meetups”
