PURPOSE: The purpose of the description is to make the listener or reader see a clear and complete picture. Importance- The description in the text is important because it helps the reader to better understand the images that the writer wants to think or convey. It helps to enable the reader's imagination more widely. It is easier to understand and read the text if the writers describe clearly. Descriptive method - A text is descriptive if it contains information related to the physical characteristics of an object, place and even the characteristics possessed by a person or group of people, usually answering the question What? 3 Ways of Describing 1. COMMON- The description is common if it provides information according to the general view or point of view. -The feelings and opinions of the narrator should not be included. -It uses only specific and common descriptive words and records things or specific details in a simple way. ARTISTIC -It is artistic if it expresses a living picture based on the author's feelings and point of view. A WHOLE OR IMPRESSION -Since the purpose of description is to create a clear picture in the imagination of the readers, it is important for a describer to persuade his readers or listeners so that they can form an impression about what is described.
