PARTS OF THE CRIOSS SECTION OF THE LOG
1. PITCH- the inner core of the log.
2. HEART WOOD- it is dark in color sometimes called the dead wood.
3. SAP WOOD- is light in color sometimes called the live wood, and it is
very attractive to pest beetle.
4. CAMBIUM- it is the thin layer between sap wood and bark.
5. ANNUAL RINGS- it is used to determine the lifes of the tree.
6 .MEDULLARY RAYS- it is produced during the medulla drying period.
7. BARK- is the outer covering parts of the trees used for protection in
the outside world.

IV. GENERALIZATION:

At the end of the lesson the teacher will ask


questions to the students or vise – versa, the students
will ask questions to the teacher about the topic.
