Assistant Professor
There are lots of stats that provides diet plans and
exercise plans for us. But they are not exactly personalised
for us based on our body conditions.

PROBLEM
As more and more people  are stuck in this unhealthy
food practices, we need to concentrate on our health.

STATEMENT
Not just by the intake, but also by doing flexible exercise
for our welfare.

Common people have  no easy method to access their body

vitals along with other diet, exercise and
lifestyle recommendations.
Why the existing system not a complete solution to the problem?

Traditional weighing machines gives us only the weights and BMI in most cases, while
the costlier machines gives overwhelming inputs about our bodies such as BIA.

People into fitness may find those machines useful but the rest whom just want to know
themselves better have no solution that caters their needs.

They need more than just data, they need suggestions to improve their lifestyle and that's
what we offer.

PROPOSED SOLUTION
1 a. Inputs from sensors:
• Weights – Load cell with ADC
• Pulse monitor-Pulse sensor
• Blood Oxygen Level, Body temperature  -MAX30102 sensor
• Glucose - Cholesterol Level – NIR LED sensor
• Fat-free mass, total body water, percent fat, body cell mass, intracellular water, and extracellular
water-Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA)

1 b. Derived Inputs:
• BMI
• Basal Metabolic Rate – Calculated from
          Men: BMR = 88.362 + (13.397 x weight in kg) + (4.799 x height in cm) – (5.677 x age in years)
          Women: BMR = 447.593 + (9.247 x weight in kg) + (3.098 x height in cm) – (4.330 x age in
years)
PROPOSED SOLUTION

2. Data Storage and Retrieval:

Data from the sensors can be stored in Thingspeak cloud.

3. Recommendation:
We can use suitable machine  learning algorithms which provide personalized
recommendations based on the data obtained.

4 a. Data Visualization charts:

Data visualization can be done using Tableau where users can monitor their progress, get
to know the efficiency of their diets and exercises and the standard levels of the body's
measures.
PROPOSED
SOLUTION

4 b. Application:
An application that
• Manages user details.
• Collects the inputs from sensors.
• Ideal body measure charts.
• Daily Progress of the user.
• Provides a personalized diet and exercise plan for the user.
