Course goals, C1 Level
Course Overview
The present Language and Communication VIII course seeks:

• The development of the 4 language skills: speaking, writing, listening and reading at
an advanced level.
• Advanced level: pay special attention to your (a) vocabulary choices (phrasal verbs,
collocations, idiomatic expressions, formal words, informal language and (2)
grammar structures (variety of sentence types, variety of clauses, variety of phrases,
tenses, moods) and (3) discourse structure (discourse markers, style, register, speaker
mood, speech situation, context, co-text).
