1. Take the right project for your community
Choose the area of focus for your neighborhood cleanup carefully.
Fixes an existing problem and inspires others to get involved with the event.
Example of activities to do:
 Trash and litter collection
 Beautification projects
 Flower planting incentives
2. Make A Detailed Event Plan Before The Event Take Place
Make a specific plan including :
Number of volunteers needed and iniatives to recruit them.
Schedule of the event
List of supplies needed
3. Recruits Volunteers Early
Recruiting might take about a month or more so make sure you have enough support when
the event start
Use different methods :
Promote the event on social media
Ask neighborhood organizations to promote the event in newsletters
 Provide More Rubbish Bin
 When the rubbish bins are multiplied it will be much more easier for people to dispose
of rubbish
Preventing people from dumping rubbish evenly
Can reduce environmental pollution
Provide different type of bin together :
 Put a recycle bin that has 3 colour which is orange for cans , blue for paper and brown
for plastic
If we provide separate bins for recycling item and general waste together, it will be
easier for people to do the right things
 Walking even a short distance between bins make some people off, and could mean
they’re more likely to litter.
 Employ Someone To Pick Up
Litter
Every time there is new rubbish, there is someone who will pick it up
People will be aware to do litter because the nature reserve area will always be
monitored by someone
There will be less litter on wilderness trails that will brings benefit to animals and
even humans
It is critically relevant for us to pick litter not only alone but with the community, as
it is for the future generations
Leading by example to others to join the community and pick up litter
Ensure that the litter can be dispose responsibly , recycling centre
