INTRODUCTION

“In almost all developing countries, agriculture is the main occupation of most people. However, it is not given due
importance. Farmers in these countries are unlikely to receive any financial benefit, and schemes designed to benefit them
rarely succeed.
Even in developed countries, it is not difficult to find farmers who lack basic financial and technical support. The masses do
not realize how difficult it is to finance an agricultural project without adequate financial support from the government.
Investments in good quality seeds, fertilizers, chemicals and irrigation facilities must be financed before we can expect
significant growth in the agricultural sector.”

“Matching the rest of the sectors in the technological field is one of the great challenges of the agri-food sector. A large
part of the sector has already begun to implement and apply new technologies to production processes and value chain
management. However, the agricultural sector must continue to invest in technological renewal as this will be of vital
importance in the coming decades.”
BACKGROUNDS

The only antecedents that I have found online have been robotic arms controlled by a console that serve to sow and
dispense water to small vegetable gardens, specifically to small home gardens, however in massive plantations there is
no precedent with a patent or that is public.
PROBLEM STATEMENT

Support
Almost no government aid to
plantations.

Earnings
Little profit from producers.

Job profile
The plantation is a low-paid job
as well as a tiring one.

Demand
Almost no person seeks such jobs, thus
being a job of low demand and little supply.
OBJECTIVEs

GENERAL
01
OBJECTIVE
The objective of this project is to
facilitate the work of agronomists,
innovating in technologies and finally
achieving a change in the tools used
for years in this industry
02 SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE

Find new applications to industrial

robotics in fields other than usual

03 SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE
Achieve a functional prototype of seed
dispenser, since this in addition to the
agricultural field, can serve in other
areas
DEVELOPMENT

Materials
In the first instance the materials that will be used are the next:
Arduino UNO. It is a development board on which the operation will be programmed.
Jumpers. To the connections.
CD Motors. To propel the wheels.
2.5V batteries. To power the circuit.
Syringe. To dispense the seeds together with a small piston (this can be replaced by a
hose)
Servo. To dispense the seeds
Development
The first part of the project will consist of connecting the arduino to the DC motors to
start designing the space necessary to mount it.

After the connections it will be necessary to check the operation of the motors, so it
will start with the programming in the Arduino software so that the motors perform
simple tasks, as well as calibrate them so that the 4 motors travel the same distance.
DEVELOPMENT

Later the construction of the cart casing will

begin, this must have the necessary size to
contain within it the Arduino board as well
as the jumpers to which the servo will be
connected to dispense the seeds

With the construction of the housing, it will be

necessary to check the operation of the seed
dispenser, as well as check that the energy
provided by the Arduino is sufficient for the
weight of this and that the motors rotate at a
constant speed
DEVELOPMENT

Having taken into consideration the previous variables, only the programming
part will be necessary, which will be an interface in which you can insert the
complete distance you must travel and the distance in which you must stop to
leave a seed, as well as a small program so that when detecting an obstacle, you
must stop completely until the obstacle is removed.
CONCLUSIONS
