INDEPENDENCE DAY

(HONDURAS)

 According to the story, early in the morning of September 28, 1821, urgent
couriers arrived at the towns of Comayagua and Tegucigalpa.
 These documents were drafted and signed on September 15, 1821 but it took
14 days to reach the cities of Comayagua and Tegucigalpa.

REAL DATE OF THIS CELEBRATION


 Independence is celebrated throughout the country.
 The activities that are carried out by the people of the country are generally
private or public schools that parade through the streets to commemorate this
day where we are independent as a prosperous country, although it is not
entirely true.

PLACES AND ACTIVITIES


 It is a tradition to do typical dances of the country in addition to dressing in
typical clothing of the country, these are made and shown to the public also in
the same parades that schools do when sending their boys to the streets to
parade.
 There is no traditional game that is played on this holiday.

TRADITIONS AND GAMES


 There is no specific dress for this day, only for the people who make the
parades, they usually wear representative costumes or typical costumes,
depending on how they want to do the show, but for the people of the country
in general, nobody should wear anything in specific.
 The typical meals are the ones that are always eaten as "baleadas", "catrachas"
among others.
