This document provides instructions for students to create an infographic about key events and details from chapters 6-9 of The Grapes of Wrath. It specifies that students will work in groups to design the infographic across two poster papers. The infographic must include:
1) 8-10 important chronological facts from the specified chapters.
2) A box with items Bud carries.
3) A drawing of a soup kitchen poster and explanation of why it caused outrage.
4) Drawings and explanations of a Hooverville and "riding the rails".
Students are told to plan the infographic draft before using poster papers and to use pictures, drawings, and color pens to illustrate the information.

Infographic A well-constructed infographic uses image, data, lists, information boxes and text to tell a good and memorable story or to inform facts in a pleasant and creative way. See some examples in the following slides: BnB – Infographic You are going to produce an Infographic of BnB using two poster papers (you choose how you will connect them) Your infographic must have the following elements: a) 8 to 10 important facts that happened in chapters 6, 7, 8 and 9 organized chronologically b) a box information with the items that Bud carry around c) a drawing of the poster shown in the line of the Soup Kitchen and the explanation of why people was revolted about it d) a drawing and explanation of the Hooverville Bud visited and of “riding the rails” The information above can be related to the chronological BnB – Infographic Before you start working on the posters paper, define each person’s function – the grades will be mainly for working properly in group, but also for following all the rules. Use a sheet of paper to create a draft of the facts and the organization of the infographic before using the poster paper. Write/ draw in pencil on the poster and after the teacher checks it, use colored pen/markers/ pencils Try to use as many pictures/drawings/ illustrations as you can along your chronological sequence and in the boxes! You can check some more models of infographics in the next slide.
