About CPDP

CPDP stands for “Contributor Personality Development

Program”,CPDP is a subject which was studying in all the branches of
engineering and also studying in various fields

This subject is introduce to develop moral values and contributors

attitude in students, which will add good values in countries growth

This program differentiates the contributor and non-contributors

personalities
Who is contributor

CPDP  says  the  contributor  person always  ready  to  gain knowledge.
So he is continuously learning and growing through every experience
and every interaction. A Contributor personality is always ready to take
up any kind of work.A contributor takes up a challenge as an
opportunity.

Who is non-contributor

Non-contributors define success in terms of material success,

achievement, external impact, etc. A non-contributor is always scared of
starting and doing new kinds of work.non-contributor avoids challenges.
Design Solution
Contributors approach the various situations in their life and work place
with a unique mindset. This mindset we call, the ‘Contributor Mindset’.

The first aspect of the Contributor Mindset is the Contributor’s

willingness and capacity to find solutions.

When faced with a challenge, the Contributor’s first response is : “Can

we find a solution?” This is unlike a Non-contributor who may respond
to the challenge by trying a little and giving up, blaming others, or
finding excuses to cover up the issue.

But this is not all. The Contributor develops the capacity to find
solutions through continuous practice and learning from other
Contributors.
FACING A
PROBLEMGive all type of excuses Whenever some Problems
Non-contributor
crop up which They know Is going to push them extreme

For them , glass is “always half empty”

Contributors, on the other hand, have will do attitude…for the glass is

“always half full

Having such attitude is actually about making the decision to look to

the solution, rather then just a problem

2. Preventing accidental deaths

• Provide eye care system in rural areas

Arvind call itself an “eye care system” as it goes beyond the delivery of
pure eye care, to additionally address barriers to accessing care

The company, on a daily basis, seeks to deliver better eye care to

population far removed from the urban centers. To achieve this goal, it
continuously work on two main areas:
1)Its outreach to rural population
2)Cost of eye care.

Arvind adopts active rural outreach. It holds “eye camps” in which it

registers patients, administers eye examinations, teaches eye care, and
identifies people who may require surgery.
To bring the eye care cost down and Make it available to people who
cannot afford it, Arvind intensely focuses on increasing productivity –
such as standardizing and streamlining surgeries. The system relies on
intensive specialization to generate efficiencies.

Arvind’s this attitude towards his patients is great and it shows how
contributor he is and this shows Problem may any type but there will be
some solution for that, but it has to identified and them proper design
solution can get

Thus, despite the constraints of poverty, Arvind has built a systemic

solution to q complex social and medical problem
• Preventing accidental
deaths
Dr. Venkat was receiving many road accident cases in his hospital. These
accidents were happening about a kilometer’s distance from his hospital.
Though he tried all medical measures to save the victims, there were still
a high number of deaths.

Dr. Venkat studied the factors affecting the severity of accidents, to

diagnose the causes. The road outside his hospital did not have Road
divider.

Having identified root-cause, Dr. Venkat worked closely with the Traffic
Police to get a divider installed
This contributor attitude of the Dr. Venkat drives to decrease in road
accidents and preventing of accidental deaths
• Farmers squeezed by middlemen
Nikhil, a computer engineer, was on visit to his village. He was
distressed to see the people of his village being squeezed by middlemen.
The farmers were not getting fair price for their produce.

So Nikhil decided to connect the farmers of their village to the market

directly, using technology, To remove middlemen. So execute his plan he
passed word around the village for meeting , but at first no one take it
seriously and no one is come to meeting, now Nikhil has to options first
one is that he live farmers with their own Problems or second one is that
To try again and help their villagers .

So he decided to help farmers of his village in any way ,So Nikhil

regrouped energies and readied himself for a long struggle. He began
Meeting farmers regularly – individually and in groups. Seeing his
efforts and persistence, more villagers joined. The movement caught on
…. More and more people got involved ..

After some years later, not only were most farmers in that village using
this technology, but neighboring villages had also begun replicating this.

And as with the high efforts of the Nikhil ,he achieved dream what he
seen and middlemen issue is resolved now the farmers being very happy.
• Fighting against malnutrition problem
In 1990, as staff member of Save the Children, the Sternins were invited
by the Vietnamese government to help fight the problem of malnutrition
in 1000 villages in the country But once there, an impossible demand
was placed before them: They had six months to produce results. That’s
it !
Here main problem is time, but Sternins and his team were worked so hard
and find different solution that how they will reach to this goal in such a
small period of time ,so they divided their team in different group and they
distribute different works to groups, so as a result they reach their goal.

By the end of the program’s first year ,80 percent of the 10,000 children
enrolled in the program were adequately nourished. In addition, the effort
Was replicated within 805 villages across Vietnam. The groundbreaking
work that Sternin did in Vietnam has served as a model for rehabilitating
tens of thousands of children in 20 countries

So this way the problem of malnutrition is resolved by people efforts

• Bullet train project
National High Speed Rail Corporation launches the first bullet
train in India running between Mumbai to Ahmedabad. It is one of the
highest speed train .

Economic Boost – Not just people, but even cities along the line of the
corridor are expected to have greater connectivity and experience a
jump in their socio-economic status. It will increase direct and indirect
employment, boost tourism and business.

High speed is one of the biggest reasons for the proposal of this idea
when it was first initiated in India. Major cities connecting with towns
of economic growth face the problem of fast transportation. This would
save time and boost businesses amongst the connected cities.
A manned magnetic-levitation train run by the Central Japan Rail Company
hit speeds of 374 miles an hour. By 2027 such trains will be running on the
Chuo Shinkansen line, which will link Tokyo and Nagoya in just 40
minutes.
• Fire safety in building
Fire safety is important and necessary in the workplace in order to
prevent and protect against the destruction caused by fire. Fire safety
reduces the risk of injury and building damage that fires can cause.

Fire has been an asset to the Human species for thousands of years. The
ability to effectively manage and manipulate fire has led to many great
life enhancements such as heating, cooking, smoke signalling, and the
managing of landscapes.

However, it can become extremely dangerous and damaging to people,

infrastructure and the environment when it isn’t managed carefully.

In both the prevention and event of a fire, those responsible include

employers, landlords, owners or a person in control of the premises such
as a building or facilities manager. These key people are deemed as the
‘responsible person’ and have a duty of care to their employees or those
who live or work within their premises.

The installation of a fire alarm within the workplace is a legal

requirement to ensure early fire detection and provide warning to
members within the building. These systems also allow you to contact
the emergency services quickly and every second counts.

It is a legal requirement to carry out a fire drill at least once a year, but it
is advisable to carry these out more often to ensure that the fire alarm is
regularly maintained. The results of your fire drill need to be recorded as
part of your fire safety and emergency evacuation plans.
• ATM implementation

The biggest advantage of ATM machines is that they allow access to cash
at any time. In addition to having a limited amount of time to obtain cash,
there was only one way of accessing it before 1967, through visiting the
nearest bank. This meant that if you lived in remote areas you had to travel
all the way to the nearest town. People only had access to withdrawing
their cash until 3pm. Thanks to ATM machines, anyone can withdraw cash
anywhere at any time of day and night, you can even access 2 ATM
machines in Antarctica.
ATM machines can be used to deliver banking services in low income
countries where only a few people use banks. Interactive Automated Teller
Machines, that can dispense and take deposits, help increase financial
literacy and facilitate the access to formal financial services in remote
areas. Two thirds of the world’s population depend on hard cash. Most of
these people reside in developing countries where a large portion of them
is unbanked. Therefore, the importance of ATM machines in financial
inclusion cannot be underestimated. So offering financial inclusion is an
advantage of ATM machines.

ATM’s nowadays offer a wide range of services such as cardless

transactions, cash deposits, balance enquiry, person to person payment as
well as cheque cashing. Wells Fargo, Bank of America and JP Morgan
Chase have introduced card free transactions on their ATM machines as
well.  In some countries, ATM machines sell airline and movie tickets.
ATM Machines have the big advantage of offering a wide range of
services.
• Arrangement of extra classes

Mr. Vasani is a physics teacher at bvm school, he is very good at

teaches and as a person also. He analyze that some of his students are
weak in physics calculation , so he decided to give them some
special treatment and time. But to complete this goal he has to face
two problems.

First is to Convince authority to allow him to teach students after

school was over and other is to Convince student’s parents. He goes
to authority and fist Convince them and then he individually connect
with all student’s parents and Convince them also.
He work so hard to make sure that his student get good knowledge in
physics and he tried very hard to teach their student going apart from his
job. He create an inspiration for others and also his student also get good
learning in physics. Here it is hard to convince authority and parents but he
tries and he did it.
This was the small presentation with example To identify  how people (Contributors)
have found solutions to challenges they have faced, and how they practiced “
designing solution”. And this was the end of my presentation…….
