Work immersion is one of the course requirements for graduation.
It provides students with the opportunity to acquire relevant and
practical industry skills under the guidance of industry experts and
workers, appreciate the importance and application of the
principles and theories taught in school, improve their knowledge
and technical skills, enrich their communication and human
relations skills, and develop good habits, attitudes, appreciation and
respect for work. Academic institutions face challenges,
particularly in the skills they have produced, which do not match
the needs of the industry. On-the-job Training (OJT) programs are
course requirements that provide the opportunity to apply the
theories, principles, and ideas learned in academia under
supervision. A study conducted by the People Management
Association of the Philippines (PMAP) in 2006 emphasized the
importance of an effective on-the-job training program. To achieve
greater congruence between basic education and the nation's
development goals, job immersion, a compulsory subject, has been
incorporated into the curriculum.
The purpose of the K-to-12 Basic Education programs is to discover,
improve and develop the Learning Competencies of students and guide
them to pursue their chosen career. And to develop a better nation. Work
immersion is under the curricula from K to 12. It provides opportunities for
students: (1) To develop better communication, (2) To adapt to a new
environment, (3) To improve, develop and apply their competencies , and
(4) To prepare them for employment. Students are distributed in different
establishments, offices and laboratories as their workplace for their job
immersion / real work. Through the association of the company, they are
expected to help students in their job immersion, to give them the
opportunities, to have or experience real work, for new learning. Have
students: (1) Improve their knowledge and skills to be more productive, (2)
Develop good communication and rapport with others, and (3) Develop
work ethic, attitudes, and value of works. During work immersion in the
Senior High School, students develop good social interaction, which will
help them build and maintain a good relationship with others, work
immersion gives them the opportunity to apply what they have learned
about their specialization to improve and to develop their skills and increase
their knowledge and for employment preparation, to continue in higher
education. The goals written above were guided by policies to: (1) Create an
adaptable work immersion. (2) Give an optional job immersion, and (3)
Provide/give a safe and comfortable workplace.
As a student who needs to be immersed in work, it is important to possess
work-related skills and values so that they can practice and internalize
working in real-time processes in their chosen profession. These key values
and attributes include professionalism, adapting to the work culture, the
work priorities of your immediate superiors, and the company's top
executives. Speed is also important, as it refers to being on time, even
before the expected schedule for students going to work immersion.
Companies may offer openings to their trainees if they notice satisfactory
performance during the job immersion. The most important details in this
text are that being on time is highly commendable and given special
recognition after the job immersion.

Precision refers to the application of the skills learned in the classroom. It is

also important to listen to instructions during orientation and ask questions
if confused. Job immersion is the best place to apply what has been learned,
but be careful not to cause delays in the company's workflow. Familiarize
yourself with the workplace, apply competences in areas of specialization /
applied subjects in authentic work environments, appreciate the importance
and application of the principles and stories learned in school, improve
technical knowledge and skills, enrich communication and human relations
skills, and develop good work habits, attitudes, appreciation and respect for
work.
Originally known as the Armed Forces of the Philippines School for Enlisted Men
(AFSEM), the Camp Vicente Lim Integrated School has been established and administered
since 1952 under the Armed Forces of the Philippines Regulations (AFPRC) C-168-341.
The administrative and teaching staffs of the school were appointed by the Chief of Staff of
the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) from among qualified military and civilian
personnel of Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba City, Laguna.
During the very first day of its existence, the school was made exclusively only to
military personnel who were undergraduates of the secondary level. In the succeeding
years, immediate dependents of military personnel were likewise admitted; hence, its
enrolment had grown rapidly. However, when these military personnel availed the services
of the school, its name was changed to Armed Forces of the Philippines Non-Military
School (AFPNOMS). By that time, it opened its gates to residents of neighboring barrios.
Later on, the school was named after Camp Vicente Lim where it was established—Camp
Vicente Lim High School as approved by the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the
Philippines (AFP).
I n 1985, the administration and operation of the school were formally taken over by
the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports (presently Department of Education). With
the formal takeover, it was placed under the control and supervision of the MECS. On the
other hand, in 1987, upon the proper presentation made by the AFP, the Schools Division
Superintendent of the Public Schools in Laguna approved the request for supervisory
assistance of CVLHS. The name of the school was then changed to Camp Vicente Lim
National High School in coordination with the Department of Education. At present, after
the K to 12 Curriculum was implemented in 2016, Senior High School began and in 2017,
the name of the school was afterwards changed to Camp Vicente Lim Integrated School.
From the time the school was officially adopted by the Department of Education, the
following persons served as the principals:

• Maximo G. Valdez – 1952-1992

• Ligaya M. Arocena – 1991-1992
• Leonida P. Gutierrez (OIC) – 1992-1993
• Esmeralda E. de Castro – 1993 – 2022
• Damiana B. Dizon – September 2002-February 2003
• Emilia E. Natanauan – March 2003-August 2009
• Olivia S. Peduche – June 2010-January 2015
• Grace M. Serrato (OIC) – February 2015 – September 2015
• Mariliza T. Espada (OIC) – August 2009-June 2010, October 2015-May 2018
• Ma. Luisa J. Rosales (Assistant Principal II) – 2018-2019
• Mildred M. de Leon – June 2018 – present

The emblem captures the spirit of the school in visual form, and with the
current changes in CVLIS, it is deemed important to re-image the school’s
logo to fit its contemporary essence while adhering to its noble roots.

The official colors of the school – blue and gold – are anchored to the
school’s military-oriented origins, and symbolize gallantry and excellence
respectively. These are the dominant colors shown in the new emblem.

The logo is bordered by a navy blue circle inscribed with the school’s and
the city’s name in gold. The central figures are also embedded in royal blue
with computer patch board pattern to signify the essence of ICT integration
in 21st century education.

The three blue stars serve as a tribute to the school’s namesake, Vicente P.
Lim, who was posthumously given the rank of lieutenant general for his
heroism during the Second World War.
The laurel leaves and golden gear are long enduring symbols for academic
and technical education, and are incorporated in the new logo as a
representation of the school’s academic and TVL programs.

The open book symbolizes the quest for knowledge. Written in its pages are
the core values of DepEd: Maka-Diyos, Makabansa, Makatao and
Makakalikasan, and is set before the figure of an oil lamp, an indigenized
variation of the more familiar symbol for wisdom which is the torch, and
serves as an allusion to the fable of the moth told by Teodora Alonzo to the
young Jose Rizal. The lamp’s outline and flame are in dominant red to
symbolize passion for learning. The inner banner that bears the school’s
foundation year is also of the same color.

quickly and then that’s all I did.
DAY NINE APRIL 3, 2023, MONDAY
I came in late again because my stomach and whole body still
hurt, when I entered I saw sir ja let me into the room first and then
we should wait for him here because he said he was going to do
something, when he came up here he ordered us to take a picture
because there is a program on this day, he first taught us how to
capture a picture, that day is about women's month, after Sir told us
to choose a good picture and he transferred the picture thru PC,
then when we didn't do anything else, Sir Vergara ordered us to
make a birthday poster for MAY, so that's it. sir told us what the

DAY 10, APRIL 4, 2023, TUESDAY
We finished editing for those who will have birthdays in May,
sir Vergara helped us, actually we just edited, sometimes we were

edited again, after we talked I remembered. I said I was afraid of
him but that day I realized that he is kind, has vibes and is naughty,
we talked so we got home a little late because the conversation was
so good.
DAY 1, MARCH 22, 2023, WEDNESDAY
Work immersion is a method by which students have the
opportunity to experience real work in the field we are in and carry
out the lessons we learned from school. It also helps us gain
applicable knowledge and skills in the real work environment. It
also provides opportunities to review the actual methodologies of a
specific job using actual tools, equipment, and documents.
This day is not so hard, but it gives us fresh ideas and the
opportunity to say what we think freely and without fear of
improving something. We still look forward to more lessons and
activities to learn during our Work Immersion.

DAY 2, MARCH 23, 2023, THURSDAY

Having a proper job immersion helps prepare future
professionals for our future jobs. What we, the students, learned in
our immersion, even the little things, can be applied when we are
already working. Students will be trained not only academically but
also socially-trained.
In addition to the work experience, this work immersion
allows the trainee or students to meet the real professionals and
meet people who occupy different positions in the specific
environment in which we find ourselves, whether high or low. We,
the students, will be able to know how to adjust to the personality
and attitudes of other people.
DAY 3, MARCH 24, 2023, FRIDAY
These past few days I learned a lot from my immersion with
the teachers and my bodymates, I am not close or even know them,
but I only got to know them because of this immersion, I am
thankful that I was given the chance to meet them and be with
them, because this is where I improved myself and we learned to
trust in each other's abilities, this is where I also learned how to act
according to what is right, You can't just do things when ordered,
you have to be willing inside, this is also where I learned the
importance of the word time management, you must know how to
manage and handle your time, before you do other work you must
finish the last tasks done properly, you must also have team work at
work you can't just rely on your co-workers, I admit that sometimes
I ask them to do it, but the reason is because I can't, I'm very weak
in communication and I'm too shy so I don't want to interact with
other people especially when We are ordered to return the student's
belongings. I should really learn how to lose my shyness, maybe in
the next few days the thing I will improve is to be confident and
friendly when interacting with other people.

DAY 4, MARCH 27, 2023, MONDAY

On the fourth day, I was happy when I woke up in the
morning, the constant cleaning of the table, especially for those
who will use the table, at least teachers or guests. That's where I
learned how to properly arrange and correct timing and adjustment
not only in time but in different ways.
DAY 5 MARCH 29, 2023, TUESDAY
I continued my work despite the heat of the weather, even
though I was sweating as long as the flow of my work immersion
continued. Most importantly, I was able to exercise with the help of
my walk in the intense heat and sunlight, and even managed to lose
a little weight.
Day 1, March 22 2023, Wednesday
Day 2, March 23, 2023, Thursday
Day 3, MARCH 24, 2023, Friday
Day 4, March 27, 2023, Monday
Day 5, March 28, 2023, Tuesday
Day 6 March 29 2023, Wednesday
Day 7, March 30, 2023, Thursday
Day 8, March 31, 2023, Friday
Day 9, April 3 2023, Monday
Day 10, April 4, 2023, Tuesday
In my work immersion, it was fun to work, because it was
my loving parent's decision to study and work, because I
was the only one waiting to finish school and go to college,
like my brother. It's not hard to work, I just need hard work,
perseverance, patience and happy and quiet work. Even if he
scolds me even a little, I respect him as a common man.
Most importantly, I have returned to study after a ten-year
break from the nightmare of my past since I was in my
Fourth Year of High School since 2012.

Now I have decided that I will continue my college studies

that I started in Senior High School, I will also continue
what I started as an IT person who loves computers, until I
get the job I hope for, being an Encoder, one day.

I just need my daily vow and prayer to the Lord God and I
will follow His advices, commands and instructions so that I
can achieve what I expect.
The only way to do great work is to love what you
do.
I love this job very much because not only do I
like it but it is also a part, for me, of its memories
in my mind and in my heart. For almost 10 days
and counting on having Work Immersion, I could
say that it was really a great adventure, it was
really a great experience for me and I would
treasure it for my whole life. This was the first
time I felt like an employee, I never imagined
such an exciting event in my life. All the struggles,
sacrifices, pain, laughter and happiness that we
have shared. It’s incredible.
