A compound word is a new word that is formed by joining two complete words
together.

Fill in each blank line with a word to make a compound word. Use a dictionary
if you need finding words. Double check each to be answer to be sure it is
actually a compound word.
It was about the climate, and how we are affecting it. It starts out
with a weatherman predicting a lot of rain and many thunderstorms.
Then a scientist explained how many insects are acting weird. He talk
about fireflies, ladybugs, and grasshoppersand how the changes in their
behavior can affect us. He also said that the changes in our climate can
cause earthquakes and tornados.
