Solar energy is a very environment-friendly power source and one of
renewable energy. Besides that, the charge controller makes it more
efficient for use as it gives the necessary maximum power to the battery or
appliances.

Solar panel uses photovoltaic cells that convert light energy from the source
of light into electricity. This renewable energy can be used for various
purposes i.e to run the home appliances, to operate machines and motors.
OBJECTIVES
 Power banks are one of the need to have product these days. But even power
banks need charging. For that one needs to get the power bank charged in a
power plug.
 This is not always possible when travelling so here we design a smart solar
powered power bank.
OUTCOME
 Functional Solar Power Bank: The project should result in the creation of a functional
solar power bank that can generate electricity from sunlight and store it for charging
electronic devices.
 Wireless Charging Capability: The power bank should have wireless charging
technology integrated, allowing users to charge compatible devices without the need for
cables.
 Improved Battery Efficiency: The outcome should include an efficient energy storage
system that maximizes the use of the energy generated by the solar panel.
 User-Friendly Design: The power bank should have a user-friendly design with easy-to-
understand controls and indicators for charging status and solar power generation.
 Environmental Impact: Ideally, the project should contribute to reducing the carbon
footprint by encouraging the use of clean, renewable energy sources.
LITERATURE SURVEY
Paper 1:

Title: Solar wireless power transfer using inductive coupling for a mobile phone charger.

Year of publish: 2014.

Author: M.Fareq , M.Fitra

Methodology: This paper is working about the inductive coupling. It is based on the principle of
mutual inductive. The power is transferred from transmitter to receiver wirelessly. The wireless
power transfer using the inductive coil is divided into 3 parts of components transceiver for
transmission of the power via inductive coil and rectifier which convert AC to DC voltage
Main findings/Outcomes:
1. Efficiency: Determining the efficiency of the inductive charging system, which can affect energy
transfer and overall performance.

2. Charging Distance: Identifying the optimal charging distance between the charger and the mobile
phone for reliable power transfer.

3. Environmental Impact: Assessing the environmental benefits, such as reduced electronic waste,
compared to traditional wired chargers.
Paper 2:

Title: Design of solar power wireless charger for smartphone.

Year of Publish: 2016

Author: Hari Mohan Rai , Piyush Sisodiya.

Methodology: The concept of the design of a solar power wireless charger for the smartphone which said that
there is no need for communication wire to attach to the supply facility to charge it. The device mobile phone
can charge wirelessly in a short range of distance. No need to sit around to the phone. Even we do not need
electricity to charge the phone. The device is user-friendly and cost-effective.
Main findings/Outcomes:
The efficiency of the solar panels and wireless charging system, including the energy conversion rate and
how effectively it charges smartphones.
Paper 3:

Title: Wireless Power Transfer By Incorporation of Solar Energy.

Year of Publish: 2014

Author: Yogesh Kannan.

Methodology: This paper is based on how to transmit electrical power without any wires, with a small
scale by using solar energy. The power is transferred wirelessly through an inductive coupling as a
antenna.
Main findings/Outcomes: The panels take sunlight from the sun and convert it into electrical energy
which can be stored in batteries. This stored energy charged in battery is further converted into AC source
by the inverter.
Paper 4:
Title: Wireless power transmission for charging mobile phones

Year of Publish: 2014

Author: Aakib J , Sayyad , N.P Sarvade.

Methodology: This paper presents architecture of wireless transmission for mobile systems(WPTM),
design specifications with simulation ofquarter wave printed monopole antennawhich is best suitable for
the project because of its high gain & efficiency and low loss.
Main findings/Outcomes: To build an architecture for wireless low power transmission system which is,
simple, affordable robust and to identify promising directions for future research.
METHADOLOGY AND MODELLING
Wireless power transmission means transferring power without physical wire. Transmission
is possible for inductive coupling. The system implementation is done in two parts, one is
transmitting and another one receiving side.

Firstly, solar array takes energy from the sun. Then, this DC power goes to maximum power
point tracking(MMTP). Secondly, MMPT looks at the output of the panels and compress it to
the battery voltage. Actually, it figures out what is the best power that the panel can put out
to the battery. Thirdly, maximum DC power goes to the wireless charger circuit. In there,
wireless battery charging uses an inductive or magnetic field between two objectives. At the
receiver end, a typical battery is connected. Finally, the battery will be charged. Part by part
implementation has been described below.
