Hormones play an important role in the expression of all physical and
psychological sexual characteristics of a person.

Luteinizing hormone (LH)


- Responsible for the production of sex hormones testosterone

Testosterone
- It regulates the production of sperm cells and the occurrence of
secondary sex characteristics in male.

Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)


- Responsible for the production of sex hormones estrogen

Estrogen
- It regulates the production of egg cells and the occurrence of
secondary sex characteristics in female.
- It triggers the egg cells to mature in the ovary.
